TASK
Alternate Ending
After hearing all the evidence the jury came on the unanimous decision.
Did the jury made their verdict? Judge Taylor asked while entering the court room.
We have made your honour,” okay then let's hear the command.
After all the evidence and our analysis we came up on unanimous decision that defendant
Tom Robinson was proved innocent for both assault and rape. I had seen the happiness in the
eyes of Jem while the judgement came up and their was a hatred towards the jury, Atticus and
Tom from all the white folk who were being sitting in the court. They all were in shock.
Suddenly I heard that Bob Ewell also pulled his daughter with the collar in the court room in
anger and also cursed the jury for their judgement. People started moving out of the courtroom, I
shifted my eyes towards Tom his eyes were filled with tears and they were about to stream doen
from his face in happiness. Atticus proved the innocence of Tom and also made everyone aware
about the issues and the problem and clarified with evidences everyone seems to be happy with
the judgement rather then white. Jem came to me and pulled Dill and I towards the door. Their
seen that after few days when everything was going smooth Jem and I were playing out heard
that Bob Ewell was being killed by his daughter Mayella as he was drunk and came to attack her
and in self defence she killed Mayella. The case then came to Atticus and he didn't took that as
he needed a break from all this. Later on, this is been seen that Arthur Radley started moving like

like ordinary man and felt safe and behaved like all ordinary human beings which made me
happy.
Earlier I never realised why Jem always made so much emphasis on the Tom's case but
after few passing years I noticed that, all black and white community started living and mingling
together and this created a positive message in all the individuals in the town. I analysed this left
a strong message for all of us as my father always says that he don't want to make any mocking
bird die and he didn't care about any racial issues and managed to save the innocent person from
all this. All the people in the town got an important message regarding the non-discrimination on
the basis of colour and created a positive approach in the society.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above essay that the alternate ending is an different opinion
which would have been raised and that would have been created a positive message in the
society. As this is being seen that if the Tom was being proved innocent then this would have
been created a positive message among all and also reflects a positive environment in the society
by drawing all the nature and the non-discrimination which will make the people to know that it
is important to do justice with the people and make the positivity in the society by promoting
secularity and equality.
