ESSAY TITLE - “HOW EFFECTIVE WAS ONE
REVOLT/REBELLION/REVOLUTION IN ACHIEVING CHANGE?”
American revolution is also determined and called as United States war of independence
or American revolution war. This revolution took place in the year 1775 to 1783 which was a
violent uprising initiated by which 13 of great Britain’s North American colonies were able to
achieved governmental individuality which then move along to develop the United States of
America (USA). This American revolution and the war conducted continued for 10 years and
more with increasing hostility between influencing segments of North American colonies and
British crown.
In the early year office 1778 the conflict between the North American colonies and
British became a civil war within the British Empire and slowly it became an international war
with involvement of France and Spain in the year 1778 and 1779 joining hands with the colonies
against Britain. At the very same time Netherland was also engaged in its own war against
Britain who was providing official recognition and financial support to the United States.
Americans fought the war with the help of two type of organisations for bringing change
and freedom and these organisations were the constitutional army and the state militias. In total
there were 231,771 men who were involved in the wash and these numbers work provided by
quarters from the state. Along with it there were around 164,087 militias involved in the war as
well. With the passage of time American forces were seldom and per under pressure of less
rebels less armed men in the entire country. This led the war to be fought by small field armies
and un-well meticulous militias were being summoned for very less amount of time such as even
less than three months.
During the war the terms of Continental army service what slowly enhanced from 1 to 3
years and even the bounties were not even enough for the land to be kept safe and the army to be
strengthen up. There are main reasons behind these difficulties in maintaining appropriate
numbers of Continental armed forces was the colonist traditional antipathy towards the regular
armed troops and unwillingness of farmers for not being close to their lands and the increasing
competition of states with the continental Congress to involve men in the militia and a leading
inflation and uncertainty in the period.
In against to the American army the British army was a reliable study force of
professionals having huge numbers being recruited through heavy recruiting programs at once.
