Work analysis aims to provide complete data on the activities and tasks that make up the job,
and the specifications of workers to perform most of the functions of human resource
management, through the following:
. Defining the employee with his work tasks: Work analysis helps in introducing the
employee to his work tasks, and informing him of what the organization expects of
him to do certain work.
Work design: Work analysis helps in grouping activities into tasks, grouping tasks
into a complete job that has a beginning and an end, contains a clear identity,
provides a sense of responsibility, provides for allocation and division of work.
Selection: The job analysis provides data on the ideal specifications that must be met
by the incumbent, and the organization must search for these specifications in the
applicants for the job, and filter them based on the availability of these specifications
in them.
Job evaluation Based on job analysis, their relative importance (or value) within the
organization is determined, and this importance or value is expressed in the form of
wages.
Employee performance appraisal The work analysis provides data on the burdens,
tasks, and responsibilities that the incumbent must carry out, and the extent to which
he actually performs them determines the value and efficiency of his performance.
The direct manager observes the extent to which his subordinates carry out the
burdens, tasks and responsibilities that exist in their jobs, and as a result they are
entitled to incentives or No.
