This report discusses the design and implementation of an interface for monitoring and controlling road traffic. It explores the challenges of traffic management and the need for a user-friendly interface. The report also showcases a scenario and provides a design rationale based on HCI literature and design guidelines.

Introduction
The following report is all about creating an interface which is needed for monitoring
traffic control system. Complete monitoring and controlling of traffic is one biggest issues in the
present era. Much similar issues are encountered with respect to design of system in the given
area and locality. The biggest issue that is being encountered is all about management of
Interface of Traffic control. In the given scenario, the whole life is all about interacting with
humans and so the interface should be taken into account. The interface should be designed in
such a way it can fulfill all the required standard of Traffic control system. In the given scenario,
an interactive application is given for controlling the overall need of the user that very much goal
oriented.
In the coming pages of the report, an idea has been provided with respect to the scenario
where there is a need of intelligent traffic management system. After that, show case of the given
scenario has been provided by making use of storyboard. A clear idea has been given with
respect to user action that can result in transforming the wireframes along with description of
design and layout.
Discussion:
Scenario Description
In this section, three scenarios are discussed in brief and 4 screens are provided to that
better overview of the scenario can be achieved.
Login Registration: In the login page, two important parameters are checked that is
email id and password for login into the account. If anyhow, the user forgets the password then
he or she can click on forget password option for generation new password. In this the user is

redirected to fresh page where he or she needs to provide new password and email address. The
link for new password is given on the email where the user can click and he or she gets the
option of changing the password.
Traffic Monitoring: In this section, the user is given the option of making choice of
starting point and endpoint of the journey. The application has been designed in such a way that
it the required bus can be founded by making use of the provided BUS number. In the
application, the proper time of the bus is given so that passenger can have an idea of their
waiting time at bus stop. The application has been designed in such a way that it can provide the
present location of the passenger that is travelling in the bus. The precise location of the
passenger will be given this traffic monitoring application.
Fundamental Usage: In this traffic monitoring system, the home page will provide all
the required details of previous search buses like bus one and bus two. Each of the given bus will
highlight boarded station and landing station. In this page, some advertisement will be given on
both the part of the part. Any kind of traffic jam encountered by the bus will be highlight along
with the location merely the traffic jam.

It is the very first page of the application where the user needs to provide his or her login
details for getting an access to required account. User only needs to provide two required
credentials that is email id and password. The page comprises of forget password option and
option of Sign Up for a new user.

In the above diagram, the menu option will provide a list of option like home, account,
show map, current location, searching for bus, notification and lastly option of logout. As per the
desired choice, user can get access to the respective page.

In this bus search option, two methods are provided so that passenger can look for buses
between two particular points. In the first option, passenger can search by making use of
particular bus number while in the second option, a list of available buses will be provided
between two given places that is boarding point and dropping point.

In this traffic monitoring application, the application has been designed in such a way
that it can provide the present location on maps. This particular feature makes the application
more reliable and usable to large number of users.

In the above diagram, the home page of the traffic monitoring system has been provided
where the last search buses and highlights on traffic jam has been discussed in brief. Here the
user can get a list of last searched buses including the bus number. The second part of application
highlights the key traffic jam in various location of city under this map route of the bus.
Design Rationale that is HCI literature or Design Guidelines
Icon Design Guidelines: The present application that is traffic management system
comes up with variety of icons. It comprises of launch icons that is Menu, dialog, status bar and
lastly list. Each of the given guidelines aim to describe the icon in complete details more
specifically on color, size and shading. Other aspects are all about fitting of icon into the mobile
OS. Icon template pack is completely available which helps in creating some particular icons.

Guideline for widget design: A widget is considered to be most important aspect of
providing information at the required glance that is home screen of the user. Design guidelines
aim to highlight that the given widget will easily fit into the home screen of the application. It is
mainly inclusive of link for graphic files and templates that will make the design much easier.
Using a performance dashboard: Performance of an application is completely affected
by the help of requirements and constraints of the given principle. Performance dashboard can be
considered to be as one of the method for measuring, setting goals and monitoring. User Stories
mainly tend to ensure that dashboard can easily communicate with the experience of user. The
status merely highlights the performance goal of the application.
Making navigation self-apparent: Mobile application need to be unified in nature. The
designer of mobile application needs to make use of visual images so that navigation does not
required any kind of explanation. This particular mobile application has been designed in such a
way that it can easily communicate the present location of passenger.
Conclusion
From the above pages of the report, an overview has been provided with respect interface
which is needed for monitoring the road traffic control system. In the above pages, the mere
emphasize is on the design of optimal interactive GUI which is needed by state of the Art of
system. There mere focus is on the low –level design fidelity and high –level of design that
comes up with proper deliverables. Traffic management system makes use of camera and IoT
devices which is needed for proper management of traffic. The very next step is all about making
use of application that is needed for tracking the given area where the traffic is mainly
overloaded. In the report, an overview has been given with respect to benchmark design that
provides a conceptual design against the present system.
