EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The intent behind this study was to analyse the rise of Primark and in course of doing
so, the intent was also to investigate the problems faced by Primark. Based on the
SWOT Analysis, PESTEL Analysis and Stakeholder Analysis, the study was able to find
the top concerns now for Primark. Hence, Primark needs to have concerns about
marketing communication as they currently rely just on word-of-mouth publicity. In a
rapidly changing marketing environment, there is a need for a proactive approach
towards marketing practices, environmental performance and supplier relationship
management. One of the growing concerns for Primark is practising ethical and
sustainable business.

1.0 TERMS OF REFERENCE
This report is in response to the request being made by the CEO of Primark. The
request was received on the 5th of June 2019. A researcher from the “COMZOO
CONSULTANTS LTD” is completing this report. Different types of analysis such as
SWOT, PESTEL and STAKEHOLDER analysis are being done to analyse the
problems. The conclusion can be helpful in identifying the problems. The report also
recommends a few points for future development. This report is expected to be
completed by 12th of July 2019.

This report is entirely based on secondary resources like the company’s official website,
and other website articles. Moreover, it takes help from various journals and books.

DIAGRAMWHICH OUTLINES THE ORGANISATIONS MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS
FROM 1969TO 2019
An Ireland based clothing retailer Primark has its existence in many parts of the
world such as the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and
Spain. The company is headquartered in Dublin. The success attained in the home
country encouraged Primark to expand to other parts of the world(Primark.com 2019).
Hence, Primark followed the growth strategy and started looking at other potential
business destinations. The United Kingdom was one of the first countries where Primark
established and expanded its business. Internationalisation was being adopted as the
strategy to enter foreign locations. One of the major reasons why Primark has a god
exists in foreign countries is its capability to innovate and offer trendy clothing,
homewares and other accessories. Primark appears to possess a good understanding
of ways, which help to reduce the overall production cost. Sourcing materials from
mainly Asian countries as part of such excellence of Primark. Primark has its suppliers
in Bangladesh, China, India and Vietnam as due to low material cost and labour wages
in these countries(Primark.com 2019).
