Palliative care is on e ofthe most essential system of the health and social care. Protective care is specialized in providingmedical facility to the people living with illness as though this facility it focuses and relied onfirm the symptoms as well as stress of a serious disease. This care facilitates an interdisciplinaryapproach to bring more changes in medical sectors and nursing care for people with life limitingillness. It mainly focus on minutely examining the services which provides relief from thesymptoms, pain, physical stress and mental stress at any stage of illness. The main purpose ofpalliative care is to prevent as well as provide comfort to the people who are going such majordiseases termed as cancer. The life expectancy of cancer patients are max to max five years asthey face many challenges. The main purpose of protective care resultant in improving thequality of life of patient and their family members. Thus, it undertakes the role-played by thecare givers are very significant in providing care and treatment in cancer patients. It is also veryimportant that in palliative care there must be qualified and trained team of doctors andpractitioners and nurses. The treatment of cancer patient is very painful as it directly affects there moral andstrength of patient and this is the reason why the role of practitioners or care providers in verysignificant. They are not only provide treatment, but they also render support to them. There arethree stages of cancer treatment which are first stage, second stage treatment and main phase oftreatment. This research examined the essential skills and knowledge which is carried by thenurses, so that they can effectively engage in providing the comfort services to their patient. Thepainful condition of the cancer patients can be difficult for the nurses to witness their emotionalbond which they develop between them and patient. Thus, researcher will use techniques andmethods to investigate the effective role and positive or negative of nurses in caring for cancerpatients in providing comfort services relating to care settings in the UK.
