University Polytechnic. I will be completing a practical placement in this room as part of my studies.
I will be learning to plan quality programs for children during my placement and will be required to take documented
observations and learning stories of children at play and during routines to enable me to learn about and plan
appropriately for their interests, strengths and needs.
I request your permission to access information, observe and sometimes photograph your child at play to assist with my
study requirements and enable me to plan suitable experiences.

The strength of this ABC child is, he is having a great enthusiasm towards
learning along with being very creative and disciplined. He is some how
an introvert kind of child with full of determination and patience.
The main interest of this child is more towards arts, drawing and learning
new skills and abilities as per the provided learning opportunities and
preference given at the Early Childhood Education and Care at Victoria
University Polytechnic.
Information highlighted by the parent about
the child’s interest and learning The information that has been highlighted by the parent about the interest
of child comprise of his preference towards the arts and drawing along
with having keen interest in mathematical calculation through making use
of cubes and blocks game. The learning style of this child are mainly
based on use of learning videos and playing practice and informative
game through the help of blocks and cube games.

The intentional teaching possibilities seen which are associated with Developing a strong sense of identity in
Children along with ensuring their connection with and contribute to their world comprises of the fact that
having a sense of identity is important for a child to identify and value its own interest and skills for improved
development in future. Apart from this, it is also observed that it is significant and important for a child to
emphasises on having well connection with the society and world to have empathy and care about someone in
the world to effectively contribute in its development and growth. The intentional teaching possibilities that
would have been observed and scaffold to assist and support the above learning and interest comprises of
identifying and acknowledging children's emotions along with making connections between children's actions
and their emotions to ensure developing their own identity along with effectively contributing towards the
world.

Building a strong sense of wellbeing and
confident
Intentional Teaching Possibilities: what learning and interest can you scaffold from what you have observed.
It is vital and essential to build a strong sense of wellbeing and confident within the child as it supports improved level of
health and better enthusiasm and motivation towards the learning. Well-being is most vital and important for all child to
have proper health along with balanced physical and mental status to effectively engage in learning and development
programmes. Apart from this, confidence level is also vital and essential for development of a child as it makes a child
able to effectively share its feeling and put up queries during learning process which ensure more interactive and
effective development of the child. Thus, wellbeing and confidence are two vital aspects of learning and interest that
needs to scaffold and developed in child for improved development. It has been observed that this set learning
outcome can be achieved by the intentional teaching possibilities which comprises of modelling of effective ways to
recognise and efficiently expressing the set feeling along with encouraging children to use modelled strategies to
regulate their emotions to have improved wellbeing and higher confidence level in all situation.
