4.1 Analyse issues that affect the popularity of tourist destinations
The popularity and development of the tourist destinations depend upon one another
completely. The most popular tourist destinations of the world develop themselves to cater the
demands of the visitors thus add different features as well as elements of tourism. There are
various factors as well as elements that paly essential role in the decision process. Based on these
factors the tourists select the places for their visiting purpose. Each and every destination have
some tangible or intangible factors that adds to the internal and external features of the
destinations. The tourism products or services get reflected on the local and social and also the
global factors. These influences are clearly visible through popularity of those destinations (Vila,
Darcy and González 2015).
Natural resources: the primary objective of the visitors of the world is to visit the places where
the places have scenic beauty but the recent trends of decaying natural resources have affected
the most popular tourist destinations to lose their ground. The popular tourist destinations such
Costa Rica, Jamaica, Europe an Egypt. The infrastructural developments such as hotels as well
as transportations actually attract greater number visitors from different region (Scheyvens and
Biddulph 2018). However, overpopulation or exceeding the number of visitors in one area have
been affecting the environment of this region. Eventually, these places are losing once gained
high popularity due to their downgrading infrastructure.
Political factors: the political stability as important for any type of business, it is also important
for developing of the tourism business. The current political status of the destinations can affect
the popularity of the destination. For instance, the Brexit in the UK had affected the business as
well as tourism of the country in a great manner. Unstable government or political instability,
