INTRODUCTIONThe analysis of data and information is a process of inspecting, cleaning, transformingand modeling the data with a perspective of identifying useful information to make an informedconclusion and to assist the decision making process of a business. In the present report varioustypes of data is analyzed and evaluated for the Eco Fone company for making different decisionregarding expansion and growth of business. This includes analysis of the current trend andmarket status of smartphones in the UK. The facts related with use of smartphones by elderlypeople and increasing the sales of this product due to enhanced usage. The pros and cons areanalyzed to expand the business in Kingston. The cost of new building and repayment ofmortgage loans is also determined. The facts related with answers given by consumers overproduct and services of Eco pone are analyses through statistical tools. All this analysis andevaluation assist the management of Eco Pone in decision making process.1
TASK 1Over view of mobile phone use in work related activities in the UKFor the year 2016-2017, the number of people working in UK is 33.5 million and out ofwhich 32 million are in work. As per the research carried out by Deloitte, that people underemployment use smartphones for at least one of the e\work related activities among many otherusage. The facts have shows that the most common use of smartphone done by employee toaccess their emails which amount a total of 44% of the total workforce of UK. The use for Voicecall is by 34%, for management of calendar is 23%. People under the workforce use smartphonefor all these three activities as this is easy to access and use. The application which arecomplicated have seen to be used less by those under employment. The use of smartphone for accessing the email have decreased to 37% in 2017 ascompared to 41% in 2016. The percentage changes in use of phone for voice call have changedby 1 % only. Among the workforce it is seen that the use of unofficial application is more whichincludes instant massaging, mobile browsers, navigation and photo applications (Schabenbergerand Gotway, 2017). Almost 44%of the employees use there phone at least once in a day toaccess the whatsapp messenger.The use of smartphones is lesser for communication at the workplace such as time sheetis submitted through smartphone by only 5% of worker. Similarly, to submit the expense sheetthe use is limited to 4%and only 6%of the employee use phone to access the internet. Form 2016,changes can be in the use of smartphone by the employee as no person used the calendarmanagement app and view document in their smartphone which was at 3 ad 17% respectively in2016. This can be stated that use of smartphone in the workforce of UK is limited to a certainextent as for accessioning many things they have their desktops. The use of the smartphones andtablets is more in that workforce which are involved in the redials stores or other where they arerequires to-move and walk and can not seat at one place. For such workforce smartphone use ishigher as are required to receive contextual information on regular time intervals and to giveresponse rapidly.2
