induces formal training process. Abusing of power have been the major issue in this essay

Summary of the project along with the implication of the project is also stated in this report.
This essay also discusses about the ethical dilemma that is present in the execution of the
project. Proper research will also be performed that will help in analyzing the ethical
dilemma that is present in the chosen case study. This essay will discuss about the ethical
issues that are present in the case study has been the major aspect of discussion. This essay
will also discuss about the implications that are to be present in the commencement of the
ethical consideration of the project. Proper discussion of the issues that are to be mitigated in
near future. This essay will also be discussing about issues that will be implicating the
functional process. Performing ITB security provisioning the main aspect that is included in
the essay is that the ethical dilemma will be affected in a negative manner.
Discussion
Article Summary
The focus of this article has been set on the ethical issues for the professionals of IT
industry dealing with the security of the policies and databases of organisations. The primary
area where the issues arise is their access to the most important information of an
organisation. Ranging from personal data of the employees to the confidential data sets of an
organisation of their business, all of these data remain under the control of the IT security
professionals. The part where the organisations are concerned about is the probable misuse of
these information. These informations in the data storehouse of an organisation remain safe
but the access of information is free for the personnel in the IT department of the

organisation. Thus data theft, abuse of the data, and misuse of the data is quite common
probabilities. The ethical guidelines list down all the instances of such misuse of data and
with respect to that for every instance the rules has been set up. Proper programs and training
sessions should be conducted in order to make the IT professionals aware of the importance
of the security of the data stored and what actions could be taken against the personnel found
to be associated with the misuse. The hackers, particularly black-hat hackers are mostly
responsible for the data theft and data abuse. The basic problem lies within the fact that many
of the IT professionals are not aware that their jobs are involved with ethical issues. The
ethical issues that are common to be mentioned are discussed in below:
1. Reading of the private e-mails of the network users or the employees who are under a
network.
2. Monitoring of the websites used by the employees in the workplace. It will surely
violate the privacy of the employees and would be a strong interference in the
personal affairs of the employees.
3. For assuring nothing wrong is happening in the network, assigning key loggers on
machine to monitor every action of the employees. Again, it interferes in the private
space of the employees.
Apart from these ethical issues the article also discussed about the instances when a
personnel does not feel like attempting any unethical action, though he might be scanning the
private messages of the employees. This is surely an instance which is crucial in the IT
industry. The IT professionals have to be made to go through some training programs where
discussions on such instances would be done. After the discussion of the theoretical problems
the real world dilemmas related to the ethical issues are discussed. While discussing about the
importance of this article, the prime focus that fall upon the areas where the types of
problems are discussed but there are no solutions given for the situations. All of the real

world dilemmas are presented in detail, but how the failure or the issue were being overcome
that has not been discussed. Although the article described all of the instances that could
happen in the IT industry from the ethical point of view, but the author failed to provide the
solutions for the same.
Ethical dilemma
The main ethical issues that are faced by the IT professionals as that include the
privacy. Some of the common ethical issues that are linked with the IT professionals are:
 Should the IT professional read any email that are private, of the users of network
because the IT professionals have the ability? Is it justified to read any of the email of the
employees as any measure of security for ensuring that the sensitive information of the
company is not being disclosed? Is it justified to read any of the email of the employees
for ensuring the rules of the company instance against the personal utilization of email
system that are not being despoiled? If the IT professional does read the email of the
employees, is there any ethical issue in disclosing the policy to them?
 It is justified to handle the websites that are visited by the network users? Is it justified to
constantly keep the log report of the sites that has been visited? Is it neglectful to not
manage the internet utilisation for preventing any possibility of any kind of pornography
in workplace, which could significantly develop any environment for the hostile work?
 Is it justified to keep the key loggers on any random machines within the network for
capturing all the aspects that are typed by the users? What about the screen capture
programs for gaining the capability of viewing all the aspects that have been shown?
Should the users be constantly informed that the users are being constantly monitored
without any kind notice?

The most common discussion with the ethical aspects is the discussion of the slippery
slope ("Ethical issues for IT security professionals", 2019). It pertains to ease with which any
of the person could go from executing random thing that could not be viewed as significantly
unethical, like the scanning of email of the employees to gain some amusement that are
significantly unethical like implementing some of the alterations in the mail message or
diverting the messages to the recipient which is wrong (Gunn, Taylor & Hutcheon, 2014).
With the consideration of the list of the privacies that have been provided in the list above, it
could be viewed that all the acts could lead to significant ethical issues within the workplace.
As an instance, majority of the information that has been gained from reading the email of
someone, could be immensely utilised for embarrassing the person, for gaining any kind of
political advantage within that company for getting the individual fired or even use the
information for executing any kind of blackmailing.
There are some of the money issues that could be faced in this situation. The main
proliferation of the network hacks, the attacks or the viruses as well as any other threats to the
infrastructure of the company might lead to the sense of hesitation among the employees and
the managers of the organisation. As any security consultant, it might be significantly easy to
play on the fear for convincing the companies in spending increased money that is much
more than the money required (Miller & Blackler, 2017). One more ethical issue that is
associated with the IT security professionals is the promising of significantly more than what
could be delivered or even manipulation of the data for obtaining increased fees. The IT
security professionals could easily install any technology and then configure the settings for
making the network of the client increasingly secured but there is a major issue that is
involved in securing the network, is that the network could not be completely secured. The
ethical issue that is involved in this section is that Is it not right to talk to any client prior
substituting the present firewalls with those of any various manufacturer or even moving to

any open source type of operating system that alters coincidentally, would lead to increased
billable hours for the companies, on premise that this is answer to the security problems?
One more ethical issue that could rise with the IT security professionals is that What
if the client asks the IT security professionals is What if any of the client suggests the IT
professional to save extensive money by the elimination of some of security techniques that
have been recommended by the IT professional, yet the analysis of the security needs of the
client displays that the information which are sensitive would be at significant risk if the task
of elimination of security procedures has been done? The IT professional attempts to clarify
this aspect to the client, but the client is significantly adamant (Mealer & Jones, 2014). Is it
justified to proceed and then configure this network in any less secure manner?
Future implications
It could be analysed from the above discussion that there are significant future
implications which could lead cause immense troubles for the IT professionals and securing
the network of the clients. The IT professionals are required to follow strict rule and protocols
for ensuring that there is no misuse of the resources that are provided to the IT professionals.

From the above discussion it can be stated that IT security personnel will be affected
in the processing of the business management section. This is the major aspect that proper
management of ethical dilemma can be maintained. This essay will discuss about the ethical
