1. Excutive Summary
The anyalsis will outline the supply chain charistics and services of JB HI FI Limtied through its online
and phyical services. In 2018, JB HI FI generated total revenue of $6,855,400,000 and employees
12200 staff in Australia [ibisworld.com.au].
JB HI FI is a consumer based product business selling a range of electrical, furniture and whitegoods
products throughout its 180 stores and online presences [ibisworld.com.au]. The analysis will cover the
online and phyiscal stores and also the warehousing and distribution methods used by the company
to support the geographically diverse stores around the country.
The Individual sub-components within the each of the elements will display how the resources and
sevices impact the supply chain process used to sell products to the consumer. These include; Order
and Payments, fulfilment and dispatching and user intraction.
By breaking down the individual process, an understanding on how each component can influence the
other and a detailed system of supply chain process is reveled. The operations and delivery used by
JB HI FI has impleneted a sucsessful outcome for the company. With the approaching evleution of
online sales these current methods used have never been more econmically importan, the analysis
will open up how and why JB HI FI conduct their supply chain process and if impovement is require to
keep ahead of the competition.

2. JB HI-FI History
JB Hi-Fi is one of the key player in the retailing industry of Australia who is involved
in the dealing of consumer goods. The head office of the company is located in New
Zealand and Australia. JB Hi-Fi was introduced in the market in 1974 by John
Barbuto (JB Hi- Fi, 2019b). He always wanted to offer variety of Hi-Fi and recorded
music at very reasonable cost therefore only introduced one store in the Victoria.
However, the owner of the company sold the businesss in 1983, which resulted in a
great decision because after that the company had over nine stores. In the year
2003, the company got registered in the stock exchange of Australia. Today the
dram of Barbuto has been fulfilled, as today JB Hi-Fi is the biggest and fastest
developing retailer in the industry of home entertainment (Finder, 2019).
In the year 2004, JB Hi-Fi purchased the store chain of Queensland Clive Anthony
which was known in the market for vending white goods, air-conditioning,
electronics, and cooking appliances. These store locations have today been
transformed to the JB Hi-Fi Home stores, where customer can get everything they
love to purchase from JB Hi-Fi and many more. The stores of JB Hi-Fi provide top
and best brands of computers in the world, Hi-Fi, Car Sound, Tablets, Home
Theatre, Cameras, Speakers, TVs, Portable Audio , etc. (JB Hi-Fi, 2019d).
The company is also involved in providing a high variety of DVD music + Blu-Ray,
games, TV shows, and DVD movies, at very cheap rates. Everything that is desired
by the customers is served by the stores of JB Hi-Fi. JB Hi-Fi offers provide wide
variety of top brands, at reasonable prices and at suitable locations. However, the
most prominent service that it offers is the best personal service by the skilled and
knowledgeable staff (JB Hi-Fi, 2019e).
