Background
The purpose of this study is to analyse the background, historical financial statement for the two
past financial years of 2015-16 and 2017-18 of the HDFC Bank along with the brief discussion
on the accounting conceptual framework, various accounting theories applied in the preparation
of its financial statement, various contemporary issues faced in its financial reporting framework
and the methods of valuation of the PPE and the methods of depreciation used for such PPE.
