Notions to Foreign Students. International Education Journal, 4(4),

This article emphasizes on the difficulties faced by universities when dealing with foreign
students of different cultures and local student. This article also put forward some approaches of
to overcome some approaches. According to authors, University of Australia exposed to students
of divere culture specifically 80% of the students belonged to south East Asian countries.
Therefore, problem arises in the field of academics due to different cultures, biasness and
morality. According authors, critical thinking considered as crucial factor that differentiate
between the students coming from different cultures. Therefore, universities incorporated the
critical thinking in different project and grade student on the basis of it. Authors reported that,
students from south east Asian countries considered to be non critical in their approach in
academic since they poorly analyze the requirement of any academic texts. Problem also
addressed in the learning styles and diverse attitude of the students. However, author suggested
that difficulties can be resolved if foreign students has sound knowledge about languages that
teach in universities.
It is also able to resolve the issues such as psychological distress that foreign students are
facing. Problem also resolved by enhancing the thinking ability of the students, involving them
in projects that will trigger the analytic power and problem solving capabilities of them. The
main strength of this article lies in the method they adopted to address the issues of universities.
Authors organized a workshop for student to involve them in the workshop and also compiled
feedbacks of the student in order to obtain better result.
