In this article, the main aim is to maintain the Computer-mediated
communication with the younger age people and determines age-
associated themes regarding costs and benefits to unplugging and
the inherent complexity from the aspect of digital technology,
information, and connection.

conduct the research?
In this article, the author has utilized mixed-methods i.e. qualitative
and quantitative survey methods to discover people’s thoughts,
feelings, and attitudes regarding the prospect of unplugging.
Who were the
participants in the
research?
It is stated that our study employed 446 participants, who are
college students and coded into relevant age groups, which involves
adolescents age group of 14-17 years old, adults aged 18-29 years
old, middle-age people of 30-49 years old, and older individuals
aged 50-70.
Was a sample used? The researcher has used a sample, which is restricted to an adult
sample recruited using Facebook, an adolescent sample, and a
college student sample. In this article, the author has identified the
adult sample through survey, college students were recruited from
the undergraduate pool of participants, and adolescents were
recruited from an online survey. The researcher has identified 446
participants and among them 65% i.e. 292 younger participants
have actually taken part (Thomas, Azmitia, and Whittaker 2016,
540-548).
The open-ended response was coded into a list of reported activities
i.e. around 13% of adolescents listed the response, 49% of adults,

71% of middle-aged people, and 67% of adults.
