Introduction
Information Technology application chosen is the antivirus
software. It is a type of software which is also known as the
anti-malware which is a computer program and it is used to
detect and prevent any malware so that it can be removed
from the computer systems. This software originally
developed with the motive to identify and delete the
computer viruses that is why its name is termed as the anti-
virus software (Jardine, 2020).

Strengths and weaknesses
• Antivirus software has different strengths such as it
protects the computer system from viruses and also from
the spyware along with the web protection and the
protection from any spam.
• Antivirus software has different weaknesses such as if it is
installed in the computer system, it causes the slowdown
of the computer system and abruptly the functioning of
the computer.

Current Impact
• Current impact of antivirus software on personal and
public along with the economic life as such that:
• It helps an individual and the society in the form of
protecting of their computer systems
• It also protects their relevant data along with the big
information they have stored in the computer systems.

Future Impact
• The future impact of antivirus software on personal and
public life along with the economic life are such that:
• It is investigated that the malware has become more
dangerous and sophisticated in the recent years
• It will be more drastic in the coming years as well and is
giving the tough battle between hackers and the
information technology security professionals.

Conclusion
It is concluded that antivirus software is an important
concept to learn and study so that its application can be
applied in real world situations. Therefore, it is important to
analyze its strengths and weaknesses and it is essential to
examine the current and future impact of antivirus software
on the personal and public along with the economic life of
an individual and the society.
