REGRET AND APOLOGY FOR THE UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT
Compensation offered to the wedding parties
Kamloops, 19th April 2020 – On the behalf of each staff of The South Thompson Inn &
Conference Centre, I, the General Manager of this hotel, would like to convey my sincere
apologies to the bride and the groom as well as their families and invited guests for the
unfortunate event in which the guests caught notice of a mouse eating away from the dinner
buffet (South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre, 2020). The incident occurred on 12th April
2020 and was recorded immediately and uploaded to social media platform by one of the guests,
since which I have received innumerable rumors and news that are untrue. Therefore, it was
decided by our board of directors to make this press release as soon as possible.
At the very beginning I would like to thank those families who have been choosing our hotel
since 1993 to stay, dine, organize meetings and even for holding auspicious events of their life
like marriage ceremonies. We thrive to ensure maximum comfort for the customers who opt for
this hotel for relaxation and rejuvenation. Our guests have always remained at the top of our
priority list. Talking about weddings, the Inn has remained a witness for several successful
marriage ceremonies and receptions. The newly-weds have boasted about our luxurious and
romantic honeymoon suites that has all modern amenities and an astounding natural view. Our
guests thoroughly enjoy the in-house created special menu by our chefs. The hotel receives
feedbacks from our customers in regular intervals. We treat them as a family and always work
towards further improvement (Nicoll, 2015).
The day when this mishap took place, was the reception night of this bride and groom and the
buffet was arranged on our special dining open lounge area that overlooks the South Thompson
