RE: Application for the post of Family Violence Support Worker
Being a highly motivated and compassionate individual, I aspire to contribute in delivering
proper and relevant services and help to the women and children affected by domestic and other
kinds of violence. I want to apply for the position of Family Violence Support Worker. Being a
victim of domestic violence, I am aware of the various trials and tribulations that are faced by the
victims.
My Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology had assisted me in acquiring the relevant qualification for
the post of Family Support Violence Worker. The Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology had helped
me to acquire the relevant capabilities related to youth justice, occurrence of family violence, the
adoption of preventive measures. My educational achievements have enabled me to qualify for
the post.
Exhibiting a keen inclination for the feminist ideologies, I exhibit a sheer understanding of the
social impacts of domestic violence on women and children. I possess the intrinsic ability of
creating strong connections with the services and the persons who are affected by domestic

violence. My previous job experience had impressed upon me the need to manage crisis in a
proper manner.
My previous professional engagement as a nursing assistant at an aged care institution had
helped me to develop the faculty of compassion and has sharpened the ability to comprehend the
prevalent emotions. In addition to this, my previous professional experience had taught me to be
compassionate towards the sensitive issues. Owing to my experience as a nursing assistant, I had
acquired the capability of conflict resolution in an efficient manner. I had worked as a nursing
assistant at an aged care organization for a period of six years. This had helped me to develop
and concretize my ability to work with group clients and strengthening my passion for children
as well as women.
My important skills are:
 Intrinsic ability to establish concrete connections with the available services as well as
resources of areas.
 Intrinsic passion for the causes of women and children
 Inherent ability to work in teams by collating the team efforts.
My skills and work competencies have highly been commended by my seniors and colleagues. I
promise to deliver quality service to ensure the greater good of the community in need for help.
