Improvement of Business Operation:
Considering the business structure of the Greek Market, it can be stated that it is essential to
add new services in order to improve their services. Thus, from the analysis of the entire
business history it is recommended to utilize the feature of DBMS. According to several
studies it has been observed that DBMS offered several impactful features to improve the
business performance as well as the approach towards effective decision making process
(Bhuiyan, Rahman and Gani 2015). Considering the current business situation of the service
provider Greek Market, the fundamental objective to incorporate the Data Base Management
System is to effectively track the business transactions in different fields, effectively analyze
the recorded data as well as the an effective decision making approach. In order to deploy this
systems into the business services of the three important aspects needs to be incorporated,
which includes the concept of data warehouse, data mart as well as the business Intelligence.
A detail elaboration of the mentioned concept considering the methods of Data base
management system is mentioned below:
Data Warehouse: This is a system which offers the facility to store the present as well as the
past operational transaction data in order to organization the information is such way that it
will be beneficial to analyze the database. However, while storing the information, it cannot
be altered.
Data Mart: Along with the concept of Data Warehouse, it is also offers the facility to store the
organizational data based on their priority as well as usage, which will improve the data
accessibility of the organization.
Business Intelligence tool: as the data base management system offers the facility to analyze
the stored data in order to make effective decisions for the betterment of the targeted

organization. Thus, due to the incorporation of business intelligence tool in the data base
system will be highly effective to improve the business performance of Greek Market.
Implementation of store chain:
Along with the above aspects to improve the business service of the organization,
Greek Market has expressed the interest towards developing a store chain where multiple
stores will be connected. Thus, in order to address the requirement, implementation of the
concept of DBMS has several features to offer which will surely meet the desired success
level of the organization. A brief elaboration of those features are mentioned below:
Multiuser and Concurrent Access – based on the required functionalities of the service
provider it is essential to be concerned about the data accessibility of multiple user (Corbett et
al. 2013). As there is a significant application of DBMS in multiuser and concurrent data
access by, which offers to efficiently access the data without even bothering any other
participants present on that data chain.
Multiple View – Along with the above feature offered by database management system, it
also consists a feature of multiple data view (Feng, Siu and Zhang 2013). This feature offers
different view of database to the different stakeholders of the organization. This feature offers
to restrict the view of the database according to their designation. Thus, it will be very
effective to utilize DBMS in order to develop multi store chain, due to this feature of DBMS.
Security – Along with the above features, DBMS also offers the feature of high security to
the database, especially in the multiuser, multiple view database system.

incorporation of wide range of products in their offered services, thus they need an enhanced
data processing system which must have the fundamental feature of Multiuser view,
Concurrent data access, data security as well as it offers the feature of effective data analysis.
Followed by this report, an elaboration of the above features with appropriate examples are
mentioned below:
Multiuser view: As mentioned earlier the feature of Multiuser in the database management
system offers the facility to view a particular database with multiple view, without even
bothering other participants (Tzoulis et al. 2014). As an example the managing director of an
organization has the overall view of the database, similarly the financial department has the
view of only the financial dataset as well as the marketing has the dataset view related to the
marketing of that organization. Thus, it can be stated that the mentioned feature is one of the
most important aspect of DBMS in order to make improvement in data visibility.
Concurrent Data Access: This is one of the important feature of database management system
which offers concurrent data access to wide range of user. Followed by this feature of
database it has consistent data stored in the database.
Data Security: Since, database several features like multiple user data access and multiple
view database system, it also provides high security to the stored data (Reddy et al. 2014). As
an example if the department of finance can access the data of the marketing team there will
be huge blunder within the organization. Thus, in order to provide effective service to the
organization related to the database management system, it has an effective data security
feature.
Data Analysis: Along with the above aspects one of the most significant feature of database is
the aspect of data analysis (Coronel and Morris 2016). In order to provide effective solution

to an organizational problem, the organization must analyze the previous as well as the
current data related to that problem.
Thus, in order to provide the facility to analyze those data database stores the
organizational data in such way that it will be very effective to determine the required result.
As an example an organization must analyze its previous data related to the past transactions
in order to compare the profits of that organization.
Task 5:
Storing and managing of large volume of data including product details,
customers’ details, and sales records.
Oracle database:
In order to resolve the above mentioned problem oracle database has offered several
benefits related to the aspects of storing as well as managing large amount of data involving
the details, details of customers as well as several records of sales (Greenwald, Stackowiak
and Stern 2013). It is capable of integrating cost effective storage management of database
and capabilities of optimization of data for helping in the management of the growth of data.
It is also capable of increasing the resource’s use by lowering the complexity of management
and meeting the demands of business. It mainly simplifies the relationship in between both
storage of data and the huge database comprising of all the details of the product, customer
and sales. I also enhances the manageability of database, performance as well as the
availability for a broad variety of applications by enabling indexes as well as tables to be
subdivided into very small pieces. This is managed in a cost effective manner on several
storage tiers for improving the performance of access.

Communicating and Sharing the information about customers, products and
sales between different functional areas of the company such as finance, sales and
marketing.
Microsoft Outlook:
There are mainly two components in any kind of sharing of information- the shared
information and all the people with whom the information is being shared. It is very much
essential to understand the audience or the people the information is being shared in the
setting of business between several areas of the company which are functional like finance,
marketing and sales. Several enhancements in Outlook on the internet helps all the customers
for a better understanding of the people they are sharing information with. Even, the click’s
number have also been lowered for presenting the information at a glance which will be most
relevant. By the power provided by Microsoft Graph has enabled Microsoft Outlook in
allowing faster creation of communications which are both impactful as well as personalized
(Kamm, Uitdehaag and Polman 2014). It can not only be used as an application of email, it
even involves calendar, manager of task, manager of contact, taking of note, journal as well
as browsing of web. In the year 2015, several significant changes are announced to the
Outlook on the ability of the web in understanding the users which will be mostly relevant for
the users while composing any email or invites of calendar.
Security and protection of information
Norton Security Software
Norton Security Software provides a lot of benefits in providing both security as well
as protection of the information. It helps in providing a protection which will be real-time
against all the existing as well as emerging malware involving several viruses as well as
ransom wares. Advanced security provided by Norton Security software helps a lot in

protecting all the all the information which are private as well as financial while users are
online (Dey, Lahiri and Zhang 2014). It has also been known for having being the winner of
AV-TEST Award for providing the best protection. It provides with a promise of providing
100% protection from virus.
Gaining a competitive edge over other stores in the market
E-commerce platforms
All the platforms of e-commerce are seen to have been gaining a competitive
advantage over several other stores within the market because of a number of features
associated with them. The personal point of touch with the help of the application of mobile
phone is one of the great features which are attracting a number of customers (Wang,
Cavusoglu and Deng 2016). All the popular platforms of e-commerce are capable of
providing all its users with an ease of shopping by providing an immense number of products
and also in a number of categories and there are several tie ups which are exclusive as well as
promotion of brand. People are provided with the ease of shopping by just sitting at home
rather than visiting several stores for their particular requirements (Savrul, Incekara and
Sener 2014). Almost all of the platforms of e-commerce are capable of showing or displaying
several reviews about different products as obtained from a number of customers who have
already used it and these positive feedbacks provides a lot of help to all other customers in
deciding which product to choose (Cui and Pan 2015). The feeling of the users of receiving a
gift for themselves while ordering something and receiving it finally at home or rather office
is definitely a competitive edge. One of the most important features of all the platforms of e-
commerce which attracts a number of customers is the capability of the platforms in reaching
out to a huge number of customers within shorter time span (Huang and Benyoucef, 2013). All
these benefits as well as features have helped the platforms of e-commerce in gaining huge
competitive advantage over other stores within the market.
