I and my friends decided to create a club that would improve our performance in both the
class and the external environment. The main agenda of the group was to enhance success in our
education because every person had a weak subject that one could not handle better while there
was another who was comfortable at that certain unit. As a group manager, I had to use different
strategies to solve the problem creatively by applying the principles of management which
require proper planning, organizing, leading and lastly controlling.
Strategic and tactical planning requires the knowledge of understanding and knowing the
environment better. As a manager I had to recruit members who were good in different subjects
so we could be diverse, the members were to show how they have been performing in their best
subjects to enhance effective learning. Secondly, I had to draw the objectives of the club, which
included the new targets that everyone wanted to achieve after the next exams (Osadchy, 2015).
Lastly, we had to match students in pairs which comprised of two different subjects of interest
that one of them is weak at, and moreover, we had to allocate time for learning that was
appropriate to everyone.
More so, organizing requires focus and intellectual skills to make the intended program
work. We had to allocate roles in the group. Where I was given the leadership role, we had to
have a secretary who could write minutes of the progress of the group and where we needed to
improve. We a treasurer because for every group to work it needs resources to allow easy flow of
necessary materials that will enable easy learning such as books. As a leader, I was an overseer
of the group I had to make sure every objective and plan was put into action. Success is
everyone’s desire and this is what brings hard work and perseverance to apply new ways to
achieve accomplishment (Ross, 2016).
