INTRODUCTIONDigital technology is a kind of system, electronic tool that is used to share, gather, storeor generate information, communicate with others etc. Some of the most common examples ofthis technology is social media, multimedia, electronic mails, mobile phones etc. Use of digitaltechnology is continuously increasing nowadays especially in organizations due to which manylegal issues are faced by both employees and employers (Siamagka and et.al., 2015). For this it isimportant to follow some information and communication technology policies that are eithercreated by government or by stakeholders of the company. This helps the employers of anorganization to maintain and reduced created by the excessive use of digital technologies. Thisalso helps in reducing excessive use of digital technologies and reduce all kinds of legal issuesthat arises from the illigal or unnecessary use of digital technology. Due to this use of social media various kindsof legal issues have started to arise from the frequent use of social media in the workplace. Lawsregarding this are continuously updated so that the increasing cases and legal issues related thiscan be reduced and for this various kinds of guidelines, policies and practises in organizationshas been made. One of the most common legal issue that is faced at workplace due to excessiveuse of social media is online harassment or cyberbullying (McFarland and Ployhart, 2015). Dueto this social media use in workplace cases of online abuse are increasing. Another legal issuethat arises from using social media in workplace is privacy breech i.e. personal information of anindividual goes public i.e. is used and seen by others. Due to this various other issues arise likeillegal use of someone's personal information, online harassment etc. There is one more legalissue that can arise due to use of social media at workplace which is use of improper languageand posting of proper content. Many times it happens that due to use of improper language ofposting of improper post can lead an employer to fire that particular employee from his or herdesignation. This is a legal issue because according to the National labour relations Act All theemployees can post whatever they want and employers cannot fire them for posting any kind ofmessages on social media.
