Introduction
Holistic rehab is generally utilized to define reliable treatment
programs that provide various strategies and techniques for handling drug
abuse. The services and treatments delivered in a holistic rehab derive from
holistic medicine are used for achieving optimum wellness by directing on
the fact of a united mind body spirit. In this generation, the utilization of
holistic rehab is enhancing day by day due to their capability to provide
reliable services to the patients as compared with the physical functions.
The purpose of the research is to determine the importance of holistic rehab
in the area of drug abuse. Barman, Chatterjee, & Bhide, (2016) determined
that most of the holistic rehab provides effective treatment options rather
than physical function and traditional programs.
Holistic rehab
It is an effective process that helps patients to manage health issues
by providing reliable treatments and intervention programs. Becker,
Kirmess, Tornås, & Løvstad, (2014) determined that holistic rehab
programs have trained nurses in order to deliver daily group and effective
therapies to the patients. The detoxification process is a major feature of
the holistic rehab that can be carried out effectively in the rehab facilities
with a holistic focus. Many holistic rehabs use complementary medicine
practices for handling health disorders faced by individuals including yoga,
breath-work, meditation, stretching and many more. From a recent
investigation, it is found that holistic rehab provides effective treatments
and methods that are reliable as compared to physical function.
Chen, Xiao, & De Bellis, (2016) examined that holistic rehab includes
various kinds of programs and techniques for addressing drug and alcohol-
related problems. These services include individual therapy, group therapy,
cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing and many more. From a

recent survey, it is found that 57% of holistic practitioners stress that their
body systems have an innate capability and treatment programs provided by
holistic rehab helps to unlock the potential capabilities (Barman, Chatterjee,
& Bhide, 2016).
Cognitive rehab
It is defined as an evidence-based intervention which is implemented
for enhancing cognitive functions in the brain and restoring normal
functions of the human body. It is an effective approach used to define
treatments that resolve the cognitive issues occur after a brain injury
(Barman, Chatterjee, & Bhide, 2016). Cognitive services provided in various
sectors including hospitals, outpatient departments, community brain and
so on.
Cardiac rehab
Such kind of rehabilitation does not change past of patients but may
help to increase the effectiveness of the human body. Such kind of process
is mainly developed for enhancing cardiovascular health in the patients
suffering from heart-related issues. There are major three parts of cardiac
rehab including exercise, counseling and proper education (Barman,
Chatterjee, & Bhide, 2016).
Substance rehab
It is a very common approach used in the medical educations for
addressing the problem of drug and substance abuse. The major part of this
process is that it has the capability to determine risk factors and solve drug
abuse problems in the human body.
