After some years, somebody else comes and builds a pig sty in that area then goes away. The line of the above events is what is termed as archaeological records or sequences (Seawardb, 2017). It is by analyzing this records that archaeological excavation will enable making interpretations and evaluations. The excavation analysis indicates that the O horizon layer of the soil is sometimes thin and thick depending on the type of soil. Older and foreign soils will have a thick layer of organic soil necessary for vegetation growth(Vote, 2016). The subsoil is the soil rich in minerals may have leached from A to E type of soil horizon. It is essential that we study the type of soils.Purposes and components of the artifacts.Soil is a very important component to mankind’s development. For any archaeologists, studying soil and its components is essential. Many of the people who used the soil in various places, left marks in this soils. These marks are essential to archaeology. The artifacts, objects, treasures andother things discovered will help explain and comprehend the peoples’ previous occupations(Eppelbalaum, 2013). The treasures may be discovered by farmers, builders, trove hunters as well as archaeologists themselves. The soils differ in characteristics and composition. These soilshave different capabilities to hold objects and treasures. It is shown that wet soils are good at preserving objects since decomposition in these soils is very low as opposed to dry soils. In thesewet soils, an archaeologist will be able to estimate or probably know at what time this objects came into existence. In these soils, clothes worn by ancient creatures have also been well

Organic decaying occurs more rapidly in well-drained soils hence organic remains cannot easily be found (Novaković, 2016). On the contrary, metal objects, ornaments and weapons can be found in well-aerated soils. It should be noted that acid soils quickly decompose objects. Iron objects are the ones affected by this kind of soils. Objects made from pottery are sometimes able to withstand decomposition in almost all type of soils.Problems facing archaeologistsThe general public sometimes does not understand what archaeologists do for a living. Some people may even misunderstand the entire archaeological process. Funding is another major challenge to archaeologists. Some organizations would spend a lot of cash on other projects that seem more attractive rather than excavating tombs (Ababneh, 2017). Resistance by the locals to some archaeological processes is also a predominant problem. For example, when building a highway, the archaeological surveys may take several months delaying the project. Others think that archaeology is a waste of time and resourcesIt is also quite difficult to work away from home (Eppelbalaum, 2013). For those overseas researchers, it is difficult to bring the findings back home for intensive analysis since the funds incurred will be so much (Gibbson, 2013). Hence, most of the overseas operations have to be done and all analysis performed in the field operation. Lack of site preservation and robbery in the sites is also a huge issue. Lives of some archaeologists may be threatened by the local people(Miller, 2017). Their equipment may be looted or even damaged by these people. Additionally, the collectors and museums for these objects also encourage looting since they often buy the looted objects without caring. The looting exercise is extremely dangerous since
