Introduction:
This paper aims to analyse the article published by Andrew NG who has been a
member of the Google Brain and Baidu. These are two important search engine service
provider that uses the artificial intelligence most effectively in all over the world. This article
has detailed the functions of the AI projects and how this cam ne utilised properly in first
hand. Most of the AI projects will be used in the non-internet sectors like agriculture,
manufacturing, logistics, energy and education. However, there are issues which the
companies need to take care while introducing AI in the workplace, otherwise this will help
the business to flourish in every possible manner. The paper aims to create a framework for
the entrepreneur to reduce cost and enhance utility o the human resource. This will develop
four questions or themes from the article and find answerers through discussing other
literature on the same topic.
Overview of the topic:
In this article Andrew NG has discussed about the importance of choosing the first Artificial
Intelligence project and implementing those in gaining positive results in the business. The
use of artificial intelligence is increasing day by day and will create 13 trillion USD of GDP
growth with next ten years. AI has and will be changing the methods of business in the future
and help the managers of any type of industry prove mandate usage in automating tasks to
reduce cost, increase revenue and launch new lines of business. This article is a guideline for
the company that may initiate first project of AI.
Theme 1: importance of AI in industries
A strong AI pilot project is very important to help the companies in a long run. This replaces
human workforce and reduces time consumption for working out a task. This allows the

projects to be completed efficiently and create value for the industry. By choosing company
specific project the connection with the internal stakeholders can be e developed. Therefore
the company if want to gain the full support from the AI projects need to be very specific
about the tasks and build up a team who can handle those with efficiency. According to
Furman and Seamans (2019) in recent business situations, the use of AI have a large effect on
economy. AI I has the potential of increasing productivity growth but affects the human
resource in the long run. Some of the operations and industries can use this process to
mitigate the issues of labour market upheaval. Similarly according to Minton. 2017, the
advent of World Wide Web in the 90s had created a fresh new set of opportunity for the
application of AI. Google has been increasing high public focus on AI and promoting
machine learning to validate the growing importance of using AI in business.
Theme 2: barriers of AI
According to this article there are some barriers which prevent the business
companies to use and properly implement the artificial intelligence Technology for gaining
profit and reducing cost. The main problem of implementing and using AI is the in capability
of the teams to manage the process effectively. The companies which aims to utilise AI in the
manufacturing and other departments may not get the scope for accelerating the pilot project
with the credible partners. Moreover there are high chances that someone is can develop the
same platform serving a larger user base. This reduces the chance of experimental and
implementing artificial intelligence effectively. Moreover according to Miller and Brown
(2018), the inability of the teams who handle the demand of the artificial intelligence, may
lead the project to fail. Finally the acceptability of AI in the business also create barrier for
the companies. Similarly, like this article, Basnayak et al. (2015) has also pointed out the
irrelevance of the usage of AI in the business method can be a brraeier. Here the teams do not

understand in which place the need of the AI is higher. Therefore, they cannot create proper
AI for proper needs.
Theme 3: why AI does the tasks and not jobs
AI based support is capable of developing the business and flourish in every possible
manner. However, in some cases, the managers follow the methods to implement the AI
support for doing a job of a human employee aiming that this can reduce the cost of the
company in terms of human resources. However this is a problem. As pointed out by Ma,
Leung and Zanon (2016), the industries with extensive histories of integrating new
technologies and managing data is trying to replace the human employees but cannot replace
them in every way completely. The human employees are responsible for doing different
types of tasks within their jobs. Therefore when the AI is going to replace them cannot
performance each and every tasks properly. Brundage et al. (2018) has discussed the ill
effects of using AI in the business and over dependability of the companies. To these authors,
the AI can help the human workforce to work more effectively of may reduce time of
working out a particular job but never replace them. The degree of control upon the human
force is much higher of the companies which they will never get from AI.
Theme 4: method of implementing AI
The article by Andrew NG discusses the method of implementing the artificial
intelligence in the business process. Setting up the AI project does not only need a small yet
efficiency team to handle the operations but also the need a leader. This leaders will be able
to work cross-functionally and maintain the industry’s domain teams as well as the AI team
effectively. As pointed out by Ghahramani (2015), the training process of the employees to
learn operations of the AI properly is essential. The projects cannot be successful if the teams
keep on experimenting and not utilising AI in growing business. Similarly Macrae (2019) has

detailed the utilisation of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector where he has assessed
that the teams need to be so effective that they can efficiently govern the safety. It relates to
the communication of the utility of AI to the business sector in such a way that the teams of
AI project gets credit and be encouraged to jump into AI as well. In the core article the author
has also supported the fact that the AI should be implemented in such a way that it conducts
business value and technical diligence.
Conclusion:
Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the AI projects have
become one of the most important and essential factor for the growth of the business. The
core article has detailed the factors related to the selection of the first AI project and how the
business can implement those effectively. This article has detailed the problems the teams or
for that matter the companies may face in implementing AI usage in the industry properly.
This article has been supported by the other literatures of the same topic and found out some
challenges that he companies many face. The companies which aims to utilise AI in the
manufacturing and other departments may not get the scope for accelerating the pilot project
with the credible partners. Hence it is necessary that the companies need to properly analyse
before taking any initiative of AI project for growing their business profit.
