can play a vital part in this situation. Street crimes cannot be handled by isolating the other
forms of crimes being committed by the youth but certainly an initiative can be taken to
change the scenario that is affecting the public severely. The crimes committed in the public
places disturb the people on the streets and sometimes gives them bitter memories for the rest
part of their life. The increase in the number of crimes committed by the youth of country
puts a bad effect on the country as well. The youth of any country is considered to be their
future and if the future of any country is indulged in committing crimes then the development
of the country will be at stake.
Analysis of Article
The artice 1 is on three teenagers robbing another group of teengers after mid night
in Glen Eden. From the article it can be understood that the youth are criminal minded and
it is not the first time that they up to all these things as the article says that they had been
indulged in a similar crime before also. The age of the attackers is in the range of 15 years to
18 years. At this age they are committing such crimes which show that they have got a
disturbed childhood and have not got the proper guidance (Leahy, 2018). The age group
they belong to is teenage thus it is shocking to know about their crime. The mentality and
the state of mind they must be while committing this heinous crime can be understood.
The article two is of a man getting hold of the person stealing his car. He is of the
opinion that the car being stolen was not that surprising but the age of the persons doing so
was. Their age was in the range of 15 years to 16 years. The teenagers committing such
crimes are a shock to the community. It is vivid and clear that the teenagers wanted a car
but the way they took to get it was not the way it should had been (Belinda, 2018). They
stayed nearby and had skills to steal to car means that they aren’t uneducated. This is more
shocking that youth being educated are getting involved in such crimes. The mentality here

3ARTICLE ANALYSIS
also in this article is a big question. The matter of concern is what is making these youth
commit such crimes.
The article three is about two teenagers killing a man and it’s another heinous crime
as a murder has been committed. The shocking part is that the teenagers are behind this
crime. They have that audacity to kill someone. At this tender age they have that much of
crime in their mind that made them to kills someone (Anonymous, 2018). The man who
died suffered multiple fractures and this show the teenagers had turned to be beasts. At this
particular age teenagers should be enjoying their life, playing, enjoying their educational life
but here in this case they are seen committing murders.
The article four is about a guy who started committing small crimes that included
shoplifting. These little crimes went to become a habit and at the age of 15 he was a criminal
and well known to the police. He had cases against him that included robbing dairies and
stealing cars. As per the comment of the police officer dealing with him, committing crime
was not a big deal for him rather he enjoyed doing that (Morrocoo, 2017). This mentality is
dangerous and is detrimental to the health of the country. A youth who commits crime just
to have fun and takes it as a normal activity is dangerous to the society.
