1ARTICLE ANALYSIS IN NURSING
Introduction
Over the years, one of the most common disorders which is prevalent among children is
Attention Deficit Hypersensitive Disorder (ADHD) which has been a distinct brain disorder
marked through patterns involving inattention as well as hypersensitivity and impulsivity
among young children. Such symptoms often lead to the interference between functioning
and development of children. The main symptoms which is common among children is
hyperactivity, inattention as well as hypersensitivity. Furthermore, the most common
symptom of ADHD is hyperactivity among children in preschool. Such behaviors like
unfocussed motor activity, inattention, as well as impulsivity are common among children
suffering from ADHD
Critical analysis of quantitative methods for children suffering from ADHD
Quantitative methods like a case controlled study has been done for the verification of the
presence of ADHD like symptoms which have been connected with various sleep related
disorders especially within the pediatric stage. Thus the studies conducted by Precenzano
(2016) have used statistical analysis of two groups of control and the subjects through
calculation of chi square and t test. The results have found that there is a putative specific
relationship which has been connected with the respiratory bubbles, role of intermittent
hypoxia and its role on the sleeping patterns. Moreover, the studies have supported the fact
that sleepy children often have patterns based on greater motor activity. Thus the hypothesis
of obstructive sleep apnea have been confirmed to be one of the major reasons of ADHD.
Moreover studies about quantitative analysis on the link of substantial traits concerned with
autistic children have been found where ADHD individuals have been found to have a direct
connection with the autistic symptomatology. Thus, people with NF1 have been linked by
autistic syndromes with ADHD which has been supported regarding the importance of the
disease among children (Constantino et al., 2015).Thus there has been scientific as well as

clinical evidences which would support the hypothesis of sleep apnea being one of the
reasons for ADHD. Such similar findings have been further supported by Keshavarzzi (2014)
which has found that 12 week training programs in children diagnosed with ADHD have
resulted in improvement in sleep both qualitatively as well as quantitatively.
Critical analysis of qualitative methods for children suffering from ADHD
A qualitative analysis has been done by Ahmed (2014), which has focused on the
worldwide prevalence of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and the role of the
knowledge of the parent’s pre and post diagnosis periods, and the information needed by
parents and the various strategies adopted in reducing such disorders among children and
youth. Qualitative studies through focus groups have been done to highlight the parent’s
viewpoint about the disease. The results reflect the need for awareness among parents
regarding the importance of the disease among children. This need for awareness has been
supported by Ma et al (2015), where such concepts of children suffering from ADHD has
been linked with child maltreatment as well as child abuse. Explorative in nature, the
qualitative study has been done for capturing the richness and complexity of the disease in a
naturalistic setting. Thus parent and child maltreatment have seen among families suffering
from the disease. Such notions have been contradicted by qualitative studies by Richardson et
al (2015) who has found that non pharmacological interventions has been useful for
delivering knowledge in the various school settings for children with ADHD which has found
that symptoms of impulsivity and inattention. Qualitative studies regarding the experiences of
children with ADHD and the experiences of the patients have been explored which have
found that there are various beliefs regarding the children suffering from ADHD and their
related attitudes among about the medications.
