This is done by using a multimeter whereby the cables aretested for polarity. The negative cable is removed from the battery and then left for m sometimeapproximately 12 minutes to ensure complete power dissipation[CITATION Don12 \p 653 \l 1033 ]. Removal of the air bag module This is done be taking out the top screw connecting the steering wheel and the air bag. Theaccess two holes on the backside of the steering wheel are then located after which the air bag iscarefully lifted to disconnect the wires from the module. Afterthis, ensure that the air bag is not placed close to an electrical source since it may result in anaccident.
