Introduction
Artificial Intelligence can be defined as the development and theory of computer systems that are
able to accomplish the tasks normally requiring human intelligence such as speech recognition,
visual perception, translation between languages and decision-making (Poole & Mackworth,
2017). It is the intelligence displayed by machines and is also known as machine intelligence.
The companies with artificial intelligence are emerging all over and are progressing rapidly with
key advancements ranging from fraud detection to virtual assistants (Datamation, 2017). This
report focuses on the use of artificial intelligence by a New York based technology company
IPsoft Inc. along with some suggestions for further enhancement.
Background Information of IPsoft Inc.
General Overview
IPsoft Inc. was founded in the year 1998 and is an American technology company based in New
York. It has three products namely Amelia, 1Desk, IPcenter. IPsoft manages, deploys, scales,
monitors and secures e-business systems with the use of its in-house automation technology
which assists in automating the functions otherwise done manually.
Size and Demographics
IPsoft is a small company as it employs only 1823 employees (Craft, 2018). However, its
operation is spread worldwide in 13 countries in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The
basic target of the company is on AI system providers, AI solution providers, technology
providers, semiconductor companies, system integrators, cloud service providers, AI platform
providers, Universities and research organizations and investors and venture capitalists.
Financial Information
IPsoft had a turnover of 37.88 million in the year 2016 which has reduced in comparison with the
turnover of the year 2015 i.e. 49.97 million. There is a little decline in the fixed assets owned by
the company in the year 2016 to 39.33 million from 4.61 million in the year 2015.
