INTRODUCTION
Project management integration is defined as the combination of all components of a project.
This involves organising tasks, shareholders, resources and any other factors. In addition to
handling conflicts arising between various aspects of a project, creation of trade-offs between
competing requests and assessing resources. Change management is defined as the systematic
approach which deals with the transformation of aims, processes and technologies of an
organisation (Lu, 2018). The discussed project in this report is about city of Sydney which is
planning to make city green, global and connected to global level. Ashfield commuter car park
is located at brown street, Ashfield which is offered by Wilson parking. The following report
discuss about the various competencies of integration management methods. The explanation of
project plan of integration management and change management methods. Furthermore, the
description of project plan for configuration management methods.
MAIN BODY
Competencies of integration management methods
There are five steps in competency management method which were kept in mind while
designing this project. These steps are defined below in context to City of Sydney project:
Define goals:
This is one of the most important aspect which has to be considered while designing or
planning a project. This is the first critical step which defines what are the missions and aims of
organisation. They have to define clear goals in order to make project activities more effective.
The main mission and vision of the selected project is to make Sydney green and internationally
connected by the year 2030 (City of Sydney. 2021). This project will plan for new housing
opportunities in order to make city green with having transport facilities with open space. By
executing new and innovative technologies, this project will help the city in embracing its global
presence. The respective project is committed towards building cooperation between
government, communities and private sector in order to bring changes.
Conduct a job task evaluation:
This is the most important step that helps in defining roles and responsibilities which
explains that each role must be evaluated in depth and the core competencies of that position

should be defined (Repo, 2018). In case of City of Sydney project, it has provided different
customer services centre in order to help people. For instance, Town Hall Customer service
provide people a help desk where they could ask about prices, reporting waste as well as about
other services offered by this project (City of Sydney. 2021).
Set key performance metrics:
This is the third step which build a baseline of job tasks and relate competencies. It helps
in measuring performance standards which includes timings of project completion and many
more. In case of the respective project, it will be completed and would be executed completely
by the year 2030 (City of Sydney. 2021).
Identify learning resources:
This is the fourth step of integrated competencies of management which explains that the

they regularly monitor their progress and seek for new opportunities as well as challenges that
they or the community could face in future.
Project plan for integration management
The management concept is related with the planning, organising and making the control
of human, physical and financial needs of a business. However, integration management
concepts are related with the link and coordination of all the elements which are related with the
project. The importance of coordination of these elements is important for the success of any of
the project (Andriopoulos and Dawson, 2021). As City of Sydney will be starting a new project
so in this case the presence of integration management concept is essential. The main concept of
integration management concept has been explained below-
Coordination and synchronisation throughout the project cycle- The integration of
management concepts will be helpful in coordinating all the activities which will be
required in the development of project. The coordination is between the stakeholders

which is helpful for the success of a project so that it can ensure the easy flow of all
activities. For the City of Sydney project this management concept will be helpful and
not only this but it will also be helpful in the synchronisation of activities.
Helps in ensuring that the project runs smoothly- The other criteria which the
integration management concept is helpful is for that it helps that the activities or any
project which the business wants to start is going in a smooth pace. City of Sydney wants
to start a new project in which they are planning to make the city focussed towards the
leading, governing and serving the different kind of people so with this if they will
manage and coordinate all the activities which will be helpful in running the project

manner. Also, it helps in continuous monitoring and control of activities which helps in creating

it could be said that no modifications occur in isolation rather it influences whole organisation
along with its employees. If changes are positive than leaders of a company could encourage
their members to adapt these modifications. The following steps should be taken for City of

In order to promote changes, it is very crucial for organisations to understand the
concepts of these modifications. The respective project has to identify what is the need of these
changes and what are their key objectives (Trstenjak and Cosic, 2017). What advantages these

From the above discussion it has been evaluated that companies need to execute various
management methods in order to make their projects successful. It has been observed that
integrated management methods help organisations in defining goals, making effective strategies
and evaluating the performance of projects. Integration management concepts also assist in
managing and controlling the physical as well as human capital of a project. It could also be
evaluated from the above report that change management methods help firm in making their
people aware about modifications and reviewing how these changes are impacting on the lives of
people. It could be concluded that configuration management methods assist in tracking and
controlling changes that has been done for important projects.
