INTRODUCTION Personal and professional development is the process through which individual are involved in process of learning which helps in meeting their desired targets and goals. It is associated with development need of individual which fosters there growth in highly competitive world. Present assessment will brief on concept of personal and professional development and will brief on individual short, medium and long term goal to meet desired objectives MAIN BODY Concept of personal and professional development Personalandprofessionaldevelopmenthelpsinensuringandmanagingcontinuous learning and growth throughout the career of individual. It helps in ensuring to develop and learn new skills and knowledge which add up to meet desired goals, target and objectives of individual.It refers to improving skills to better achieve target more efficiently and effectively. It helps individual with better understanding of areas where improvements needs to me made which can be acquired through continuous learning of new things and adapting with the same. It provides with increased opportunities to career development where it also helps in expanding and learning areas which support the same and achieving goals which are designed by individual in certain time frame (Pugh and Broome, 2020). By developing personally and professionally it helps individual to deliver performance in whatever areas it is, as it is backed up with several responsibilities which fosters individual to cater with the same. An individual can grow personally as well as professionally by undertaking various activities and development programs such as computer based learning, volunteering various events, on the job learning, by undertaking various workshops and courses which will help individual to grow (Hildebrand, 2018). It provides individual with the frame work to identify oneownsstrengthandweaknesswhichhelpsinguidingandimprovinguponexisting capabilities and skills. Short term goals. It refers to something which individual want to do in near future. The near future is in terms of day, week, and months or can be a year. Short term goal is something individual accomplishes soon and which does not take huge time to achieve. It helps in making career more productive as by fulfilling short term goals drives his/ her way to achieve long term goals. It
helps individual to think what they can do right away. This are the goals which helps individuals to manage their time more productively and efficiently (Williams, 2016). This goals might seems to be small, but completing them can lead to big accomplishments in one owns career and life. This goals helps in triggering new behaviours, helps in guiding individual with focus in their life and helps in maintaining momentum for the same. It helps in assessing areas of decision making and leads an individual accountable to every steps it takes in near future. Short term goals are starting line for individual to achieve its long term goals in life. It should be followed and supported with proper planning in order to determine success for achieving the same. It allows individual with proper time management skills from which it can be derived their actions are worth and not non –productive (Uetake, Yang, 2017). My short term goals of life are to reach office everyday on time, increase my salary by 5 % in six months and to save a part of money every month to support my future. Medium term goals Medium term goals are goals which are needed to accomplish long term goals. This are goals which are set by individual within the time frame of 1 to 5 years. This goals are tailored with personal values of individuals as by accomplishing the same it helps in deriving satisfaction level of individual (Farrell, Sait, Walker, 2020). This goals helps in bridging the gap between daily activities of individuals with their long term vision in life. This are the goals which are based on SMART criteria which suggest that goals which are medium terms needs to be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and within the time zone that is 1 to 5 years for individual to achieve. This goals helps and serves as drivers which helps individuals to understand where they have to work on and how they have to work on in relation to one owns skills and talent they possess to survive in competitive world. Individual should be continuously be dedicated and focus to achieve this goals as lack of focus and non- tracking of the same will lead to individual to face problems in future which will divert mind-set to non- productive things and which will affect long term goals. Every time when individual achieves its midterm goals it is one step closer to achievement of long term goals. My mid- term goals of life are to repay by educational loan, enhance my level of communication and to buy a car in my budget.

It is also understood how individual values and set various short term, medium term and long term goals in life and accomplish same.
