INTRODUCTION
Therapy may be considered as the remediation of a health problem that follow a proper
diagnosis. It is known as treatment where psychologists as well as other mental health
professionals used numerous approaches and cures for providing various kinds of therapies to
the patients for improving their conditions in an appropriate manner. In this included
psychiatrists, counsellors and clinical social workers etc. who give such treatments to people as
per requirements (Becvar and Becvar, 2013). This report in based on a case study of Bailey, in
which he was feeling depressed due to being addicted of alcohol. This assignment will define
that how suitable theory can benefit Bailey in recovering himself in better ways. Therefore,
motivational interviewing therapy will be considered in this report.

Case study of Bailey
As per this case study, it has been analysed that Bailey was feeling depressed and
suffering from various kinds of problems due to consumption of alcohol. He had started to
consume alcohol from past five years and become addicted of it. Bailey has tried to quit drinking
much but due to the break up with his partner, he started drinking again so now, it is difficult for
him to cope without alcohol (Beck, 2011). Therefore, he require a better therapy and good
treatment for recovering from this issue. There is necessity to consider different types of
therapies and treatments to improve his condition and get well with appropriate manner.
Hence, according to case study, the most suitable strategy that Bailey can adopt for
curing his problems is Motivational Interviewing therapy. It is the best strategy to recover his
condition and stimulate him to stop consumption of such alcohol products as well. Bailey is
alcohol addict so this strategy will support him to get recover with well manner because in this,
counsellor try to stop in consuming any substances including alcohol and drugs through
motivating their stimuli and inspiring for a better life.
