This report discusses the methodology and methods used in two articles: Incorporating a gender approach in the hospitality industry and The future for African air transport. It explores the advantages and disadvantages of qualitative research and inductive approach. The first article focuses on gender-based strategies in the hospitality industry, while the second article analyzes the success of Ethiopian Airlines in the African air transport business. The research methods used include qualitative research and semi-structured interviews. The research approach is inductive, and the research design is exploratory. The data collection method is primary, using semi-structured interviews. The sample size consists of 30 female executives in the hospitality industry. The data analysis is done through familiarization, data reduction, pattern discovery, re-construction, and theory development.
