INTRODUCTION
Covid 19 has adversely impacted on overall global economy and businesses. It has become a
great concern for government as well as business. There has been high decline in growth and
sales of business (Prasad and Vaidya, 2020). It is because of lock down imposed due to which
shops are closed. The pandemic has impacted adversely on all sector such as retail, tourism,
automobile, etc. Moreover, there is also change in needs of people as well. Now, they have
become more health conscious and are consuming healthy products only. In addition, spending
on other things has decrease and they are focusing only to fulfil basic needs. It has led to
decrease in sales and profits of companies due to which their growth and developed has affected
to great extent. Besides that, covid 19 has also impacted on various business operations such as
HR, marketing, operations, etc. Many employees have lost their job due to which their financial
condition is not stable. Along with that, it is evaluated that organisation revenue has declined so
they are not able to give incentives and rewards to employees. Thus, this has impacted on their
motivation and satisfaction level. Besides that, their needs are not fulfilled as salary and wages
given are less due to covid 19. In addition, new norms and guidelines are issued and formed
which has led to change hiring of staff. Furthermore, no effective training is provided to them
due to which their skills and knowledge are not developed. It is found that there are various types
of benefits provided by companies to staff. They are rewards, promotion, retirement benefit, etc.
it is necessary for firms to take necessary measures and actions in order to minimise impact of
covid 19 (Sembiring, and et.al., 2020).
The business need to remain competitive in market for long term. For that they require to
maintain diversity. It has also become a core component that result in creating a good reputation.
With that it becomes easy to retain employees as well. But the main thing in this is recruitment
and selection. It means if right candidate is not recruited at right place then this does not help in
creating a diversified work force. Along with it, training and development is also core
component as employee must be given effective training. It results in enhancing their efficiency.
The pandemic has affected on recruitment and selection. For every business it is necessary to
motivate staff so that their efficiency is improved. Besides, encouraging led to fulfilling staff
needs. But if benefits are not provided then it leads to demotivate of staff and it directly impact
on overall culture of firm. Besides, motivation also led to retaining of staff for long term. There
is decrease in absentees as well. However, there are various theories which is applied by firm in

motivating staff. The use of theory enables in fulfilling their needs. Usually, Maslow needs and
Hertzberg theory is applied which provide a framework of needs can be fulfilled. With that it
becomes easy to identify needs of staff as well and then fulfil it. Moreover, it is required to
maintain diversity within firm (Dale-Olsen, and Finseraas, 2020). This enable in bringing new
ideas and creativity by which changes are made. Hence, a positive culture is developed which
result in motivating people. There is increase in team work and goals are easily accomplished.
Through diversity business is able to gain competitive advantage in market as well. This improve
brand image and reputation of firm. Employee work in more effective way and this led to
reducing absenteeism. The culture can also be made better by hiring people from different
culture. The staff like to interact with others by coming to organisation. Hence, positive culture
is developed that enhance overall business performance and productivity. This is useful in
growth of organization. In addition, diversity helps in making innovative ideas happen.
Alongside, diversity brings in new talent and it led to creating a positive culture. The staff is able
to work in better way and manner.
Alongside, organisation culture plays vital role in employee retention (Wolof and et.al,
2020). This is because if culture is positive then it leads to effective team work. Also, diversified
staff are easily able to work in it as they respect value, ethics, etc. of other. It results in sharing of
knowledge and ideas with each other that brings in creativity. So, in this way task are performed
in effective way and goals are attained. For that it requires company to form a specific
recruitment procedure so that right people is hired at right job role. In order to maintain culture,
there are different strategies applied. The use is strategy depends on current culture of company.
Besides, diversity work force is necessary as they possess varied knowledge, belong to different
culture, background, etc. However, the lifestyle of people is impacted in negative way. It is
analysed that after post covid there will be change in way of hiring and recruitment as well.
Organisation culture plays a keen role in employee retention. It has been analysed that better
culture can be made with the help of employee training. In this better learning must be given to
workers so that they can perform well. This has assisted the firm in increasing their productivity
as well as operational efficiency. The organisation culture is maintained by their employees, so
company must make sure to keep their employees satisfied. This will assist them in growing and
achieving the target as well as objectives. The culture can also be made better by hiring people
from different culture.

Carlisle security service is a private firm that operate in UK and it was formed on 13
December 2011. The company provide security services to clients, individual administration, etc.
Basically, they hire people for security services and on basis of their performance incentives is
provided to them.
Aims and objectives
Aim- To provide adequate recruitment options to security trained staff who are suffering due to
the Covid-19. A project on Carlisle security service.
Objectives -
To improve the benefits and incentives for employees who stay for more than a year.
To recruit and hire best people who fit in culture
To examine the impact of diverse work force on creativity and innovation

Rationale of research
Due to covid 19 there is high impact on staff retention and culture of organisation. It is
because company are not providing incentives to them. This has impacted on culture and
motivation level of staff. Also, goals and objectives are not attained and creativity is not applied
in proper way (Phetmisy, and Hebl, 2020). The main purpose of doing this study is to find out
what are varied options available for Carlisle security service to hire and recruit staff in covid 19.
Also, it will be examined about how benefits and incentives is improved and what new benefits
are added to it. The study is done to find out how diversity results in creativity and innovation.
Therefore, research shows that how staff is retained and impact on covid 19 on hiring and
recruiting of it. Here, cultural model and theories is applied to evaluate impact of diversity on
culture.
Significance
This study will help in giving various recruitment options through which Carlisle security
service can hire staff. Besides that, the options can be used by other firms as well to hire best

long time. This research can be used to find out impact on diversity on culture. This study is
important as it will provide security service company with various ways of recruiting staff. They
will be able to make sure that right people are hired on right places, which is really necessary for
company to grow.
