Introduction
With the increased globalisation the connectivity among countries has increased which
has also increased the ease of travelling to various locations. Also the aviation industry is
offering cheap travels to their customers by providing various offers and discounts which has
lead to further increase in the air travel which is also creating negative impact on the
environment. It is thus important that the concept of responsible travel is increased which can
help in making ait travel sustainable along with leading to growth and development in aviation
industry. In this report the factors which create an impact on air travel will be discussed along
with the challenges, risks and limitations related with aviation growth.
Main Body
In order to determine 'whether we should travel more responsibly' it is essential that the
factors which affect growth of aviation industry are analysed so that both the positive and
negative impact of these factors can be understood which can help in making effective decisions
regarding increased growth of air travel. The macro factors which can affect the growth and
development of aviation industry can be determined by using the PESTLE tool which is a
strategic management tool which help in analysing both the negative and positive impacts of
these factors. The two such factors that can affect the growth of aviation industry are:
Economical: These are the factors related with economy of a country and are affected
with factors like employment rate, interest rate, GDP etc. UK has a stable economy with high
standard living of people which means that people in UK use the aviation services more
frequently. Also the economic factors which can help in the growth of this industry are that
increase in air travel can help in increasing revenue thereby contributing towards UK economy
(de Vries, 2016). Also it can help in increasing the number of jobs in R&D and manufacturing
sector thereby contributing towards economic development so that the growth of industry can be
encouraged. Also as there are few manufacturers of aircraft which can help in the development
of aviation industry as it can help in gaining economies of scale which can further bring down
the costs of air travel and increase the number of people using aircraft as mode of transport.
Further it can help in contributing to the increase in tourism industry so that more revenue
