At last ways to how to avoid plagiarism will be discussed (Uzun, and Kilis, 2020). Essay Plagiarism can be defined as a practice that is used by individuals to copy or imitate ideas or work of some other person without their consent or acknowledgment. It is relevant in academic writing because student in order to get better marks then other start copying or imitating work of other individuals. Thus, it helps lecturer in identifying individuals that have copied material of other so that it can get extra marks. It also helps in punishing student that have tried to use unethical practices with an motivate to gain advantages over others by using ideas, view of someone else. There are different types of Plagiarism such as global, paraphrasing, verbatim, mosaic, self plagiarism and incorrect citation that are done by student. Global Plagiarism means that whole work is copied of someone else, paraphrasing plagiarism state that rephrasing and no use of citation has been done. While in verbatim plagiarism, student copy whole passage or paragraph as it is without making any use of citation (Fusch and et.al., 2017). Mosaic Plagiarism is type in which different sources of information are taken to write content without use of any citation. On the other hand Self Plagiarism reusing similar words and incorrect citation is student is unable to give relevant information about from where content has been taken to make report. Use of more and more internet by younger generation or student has promoted use of plagiarism in academic writing (Hourrane and Benlahmar, 2017).
