1. Provide a definition of:

o Methodology

o Standard

Methodology: A project methodology is mainly defined as a set of guiding principles as well as
processes that are helpful in managing the entire work of the project effectively (Svejvig and Andersen,
2015)

Standard: A standard is defined as the level of achievement of quality especially a level which is
considered to be quite acceptable.

2. Why are flexibility and standards important in a project?

It is found that flexibility within project management generally helps in allowing the project managers to
work much more consistently for organizing different types of workloads as well as resources quite
effectively. Whereas project standards help in providing proper details for ensuring that all the team
members of the project can be able to properly determine the objectives effectively (Ramazani and
Jergeas, 2015). Thus, both flexibility as well as standards generally plays an important role within the
project.

3. Provide a definition of project governance and discuss why it is essential to project success
mentioning the 4 key governance functions.

Project governance is defined as the infrastructure which generally surrounds the project that deals
with various types of responsibilities as well as accountabilities. Moreover, it is considered as a
framework that helps in making important decisions related with the project.

Project governance is considered as one of the crucial elements for the entire project as it generally
includes a framework that properly helps in making proper decisions related with the project
effectively by properly defining roles, responsibilities as well as liabilities for accomplishing the
project goal (Serra and Kunc, 2015). The four key governance functions are mainly listed below:

The project phases are:

The planning also includes development of staffing, procurement as well as proper control of the
