MAIN BODY
1(a) Impact of Covid- 19 on two different organisations strategy
The two different organisations which can be compared to assess the impact that Covid- 19 has
on them are Aldi and Morrison’s:
Morrison’s: Covid-19 pandemic brings positive impact on organization’s strategy because
it become easy for the company to access it’s customer more effectively in UK. The reason
behind is that UK’s people does not prefer dine out due to covid-19 so, they like to buy grocery
and prepare them at home as safety purpose. In initial stage, Morrison gets negative impact on
it’s strategy and business operation because UK’s government announced for the lockdown due
to pandemic that impacts supply chain of the company as well. But later on, public prefer to
online shopping for the groceries that accelerates digital marketing strategy of the company as
resulted it offers home delivery services to the UK’s people (Mitchell and et.al., 2020). In the
mid of June company has started to supply it’s grocery products from own 280 stores to the
customer.
Aldi: Aldi gets negative impact of Coivd-19 pandemic because it has invested huge capital
in more than organic, carbohydrate free and natural food products in order to improve purchasing
behaviour of customers and in exchange achieves high profit margin. But these products price is
too high as compared others and past three months food price is increased around 30% as
compared others (Cummins and et.al., 2020). Unfortunately, there are only 24% people who are
aware about organic food while rest does not aware about organic foods. Thus, Aldi gets
negative impact on it’s performance.
1(b) Drivers of Change
Driver of change are segregated into internal driver and external change drivers.
Internal change driver: All such drivers like capability, resources, inventions, dissatisfaction of
the own organisation performance and desires of company to reach the extreme. All these
drivers of change management play a crucial role for the company in achieving change
management properly.
