needed to create each target in the implementation plan
After reviewing the resource efficiency targets presented in assessment 2, it is noted that
Sydney Opera House aims at focusing on theatre as well as performance. The company had
started adopting sustainable practices in their activities. However, the sustainability plan takes
into account some of the vital attributes and these are listed below:

To upload video that will help in educating staff members on where waste goes as well as

It is important to understand the fact that Sydney Opera House had adopted certain key
performance index where they can measure sustainability policies. In addition, the plan was
adopted by Sydney Opera House and this was not completely error free. Sydney Opera House
has various key performance indexes as it depends upon factors that need to be measured at the
same time. Sydney Opera House had even adopted technologies that ensure to work in an
integrated manner for accessing and maintaining record base.

From the above graph, it is easy to gather information that usage of electricity at Sydney Opera
House decreased by 2% and this was done by implementing energy efficiency upgrades.
However, the company takes into account all the operations on Bennelong Point and this takes
into consideration Food and Beverage Tenancies and Major Construction.

information. Therefore, malfunctioning gas meters were repaired during 2009-2010 and 2011-
2012.

From the above graph, it is noted that gas figures during 2006 to 2012 estimated was
done because of malfunctioning meter that displays significant decrease in gas consumption that
may not be correct always. However, the above figures can be incorrect because of this issue.
Therefore, the gas meter fault has been reported as well as pipe leak has to be repaired at the
same time.

compared to last year. On the other hand, usage of water is 6% higher as compared to its baseline
year. However, significant effort needs to be taken at the time of early detection leaks so that
15% reduction can be achieved for the baseline year (2012 to 2013).

From the above graph, it is understood that the company had set a target of 15%
reduction in the usage of water. On analysis it is noted that usage of water had increased by 4%
during end of the year because of inefficiencies in the air conditioning system. Therefore, air
conditioning system was found to be a cost effective solution by building development and
maintenance.
