Challenges and barriers to communication in
school
 Oral barriers- The teachers and
management of Learn English UK is not
understanding the requirements of the
students and they problems they are facing
when they are communicating it.
 Cultural barriers- The management of the
school misunderstands when the students
complain as the cultural difference can be
because of language barrier.
 Feedback policy- Learn English UK does
not have the feedback policy so that the
students can share their problems. They are
observing the behaviour of students and
parents that they are backing out but not
taking their recommendations.
 Focussing on personal agenda- The
management of the school is focussing on
making money, they are not understanding
that the students are not getting comfort and
are not able to convey it.
Strategies for overcoming communication
barriers
 Build relationships- The teachers should make
relationships with students so that they can have informal
communications and can understand the problem they
have with Learn English UK.
 Be vulnerable- The students should be vulnerable and
complaint to the top level management of the Learn
English UK. They should not leave the school without
giving excuse to the management because they should
improve their functions.
 Student's Evaluation- The students should be given an
option to evaluate the services of school and the
environment they are getting. It is a formal method of
communication where Learn English UK will get the
knowledge of the problems of the students.
Importance of cultural awareness
The students are the most important assets for the
students and they should increase the satisfaction of the
students and satisfy their needs. There are many
problems which are faced by the students and they are
not able to communicate it to the management and it
should be identified to achieve success.
Introduction
Schools have different customers like teachers, students,
directors, workers etc. and they have different
expectations. They want a high quality service and
growth in learning. The schools are the most important
factors which influences the behaviour of students
because they get the maximum learning from school. The
report includes challenges to effective communication,
barriers and importance of culture in Learn English UK
 Effective communication- The communication between
the management and the students will be effective when
they have the cultural awareness in Learn English UK.
They will be able to convey the expectations from the
students and understands their expectations. The
awareness of the culture will help them in achieving
profits.
 Mutual respect- The knowledge of the culture will
maintain the long term relationship between student and
the school. They will respect each other’s opinion and
have the diverse culture in Learn English UK where they
will learn and grow.
 Freedom and flexibility- The freedom of speech and
flexibility in decisions making will be strong when the
management understands the culture of the students.
They will take decisions based on the needs of the
students and they will not face problems like cold, Wi-Fi
issues and lack of cultural functions.
