For conducting the research a questionnaire was prepared so that relevance and validity
can be accessed. Relevant questions were asked to the patients and two stages were selected
where different terms were used for the study. Moreover, Burden Assessment Scale(BAS) was
used to measure the burden and there were two ways the patients have to reply.
Selection of critique tool.
In order to complete the research tools and techniques used must be effectively
mentioned. There are different tools used by the researcher in the current study qualitative
method has been adopted. In this methodological part is mentioned where analysis, design and
conduct are mentioned. For the cited topic the critique tools selected was descriptive cross-
sectional study based on the qualitative methods. For this 68 people were selected as the sample
and study was conducted in Norway. Along with this, 3 hospital wards and 6 community
specialist health centers This type of tactic is used to measure the difference perspective based
upon their experience and beliefs(Trask and et.al., 2016). This method includes various process
to acquire the report of antithetic views of people such as in-depth interviews. With the help of
different opinions, effective critical review can be made. This tool is chosen because of its
advantage of covering thoughts of wide range of people. The edge of data analysis provided by
this method is appreciable. A questionnaire was developed as patients have to describe based on
the topic. This tactic also deals with the ethical issues associated with the investigation.
Further, the inclusion criteria is selected for different types of patients those having age
more than 18 and more. For the same exclusion criteria was evaluated for the disorders, illness
and depression. Complete report was conducted in 2 stages where questioning was done through
verbally and in written format. All the patients were able to read and write about the research.
The main objective of implementing this critique tool is to decide the validity and reliability of
the research conducted, determining the results obtained and then, measuring its relevance or
checking the usefulness of the investigation. This method aims on understanding the social
phenomena from individual point of view. These perspectives are either based on their personal
experiences or beliefs. This method also generates the theory to explain these behaviours and
experiences(Cowman and et.al., 2017). In context to the present case in which the depression is
observed in the relative of the inpatients, this tool will assist them by sharing the experience of
the people who had faced this situation. This sharing of information will help them in prevention
of their disease. Before conducting the research, ethical approval was taken from the Regional

Critical analysis of article using a critique tool.
The critiques are made to understand the solution of the problems. In present article, the
reviews are taken for the mental illness observed in the relatives of inpatients. There are further
various methods available to organise the review sessions (Rothbard and et.al., 2016). The best
suited observed for the present case is the qualitative checklist.
Depression is the most dangerous disease that needs high attention and healthcare should
work in the order to eradicate it. In this article, the analysis is done for aiding the depressed
persons who gets impacted by this disease when their relatives are inpatient. The aim of this
research is to understand the perspectives of different person for the in encountering the
psychiatrist specialist health services. To support this statement, Tourjman and et.al., (2016)
stated that in these encounters relatives want the entire information regarding the depressed
person's treatment and care. Also, there are some needs they feel like respect, care and
recognition in this situation. Steel (2016), stated that, this situation is creates the consequences of
the mental frustrations and trauma they are having. Also, the fear of upcoming responsibilities
and excessive stress make them feel heartsick. However, contrast to this, karp (2016) argued by
saying that it is result of the ill-treatment and improper services offered by the health care to
them. For this the relative of the patients must take care of themselves too. Moreover, they
should behave nicely with the inpatient as they are already suffering from the pressure of the
illness of their loved ones, hence, respect, empathy and recognition is all that needed by them. In
addition to this, Costello (2016) merged both the arguments and presented a combined statement
saying that the degree of burden is result of both the factors, the unwanted behaviour faced by
depressed persons by the hospitals and the emotional and sensitive factors that are associated
with the attachment with the patients. Also, when they encounter with the psychiatric specialist
health service, they think that they are not involved in the procedure and are not value by the
psychiatric specialist health services (PSHS). This is also a biggest problem that prevent them
using these services. In order to emphasise on this, (Johnston, 2016) stated that the PSHS should
involve them and should maintain transparency in all the procedure and steps taken by them.
Patient should work on the emotions, mental stability and personal behaviour to get rid of this

disease. In order to perform this, meditation, yoga and listening inspirational speakers can help
them most in curation of their illness.
RECOMMENDATION
Based on the evidence-based practice(EBP) framework following recommendation can
be provided from the study. Major problem that can be seen in the report is that healthcare
associates were not providing the complete details about the patients to the relatives which they
should provide. Healthcare professional must provide complete details regarding the patients so
that relative can gain understanding about the disease and they too can prevent themselves from
such cases. Other than this, it is also responsibility of the patients to enquire about the in-depth
details about the person affected. EBP was not followed in the Norway hospitals, there was lack
in their functioning which must be examined by The Norwegian Medicines Agency.
CONCLUSIONS
With the help of the above analysis it can be observed that there are many factors that
aims on the investigations related to the relatives of inpatients with terrible psychological state.
The appraisals aids the capability and failing of the research study. This work helps in assisting
the patients suffering from the severe depression. Various methods to get rid of this disease are
explained in this study. To solve the critical analysis, various statistical methods, represented
