Introduction
The rapid popularity of globalization has made it very clear that globalization is much more than
a simply economic phenomenon, manifesting itself on a global level. Increased movement of
goods and services, information and capital, and financial capital are various visible
manifestations in regard to globalization all over the world. Additionally, there are numerous
technological advancements, increased cultural exchanges, facilitated by free trade- availability
of variety in products and services, tourism and immigration, changes in the context of political
landscape and its consequences, which are ecological in nature. It is has been observed that
globalization as a process involves well-being of the society and people at large however, they
are not always sustainable in nature. At times it involves exploitation of resources in order to
achieve well-being. The current study focuses on the inter-relationship between sustainability,
well-being and globalization and its consequences by analysing various articles. The main
rationale behind selecting the theme of sustainability, well-being and globalization is that though
it is an emerging theme but there are not adequate studies which are available regarding the inter-
relationship between sustainability, well-being and globalization. The process of globalization
affects the sustainability approach which are taken by business and government bodies and
further as the well-being of individuals is influenced by sustainability, therefore in order to
ensure well-being the process of globalization must be controlled and sustainability measures
must be implemented. Hence, considering the importance of the theme, it has been selected.

The article states that the new science of happiness is revolutionizing individuals’ ability in terms
of measuring social progress. Various factors such as a sense of purpose and belonging and
meaningful relationships are perceived to be vital for the well-being of human beings. The author
has observed that the happiest societies in the world focus on encouraging dignity for all
individuals. This is done partly through various approaches, for example, robust investment and
pursuing a holistic approach to education. The current research conducted by the author helps in
indicating that well-being and ecological sustainability, the goals which often are viewed as

contradictory in nature, are in fact complementary to nature. It has been emphasize that social
drivers related to social being helps to counter the usual focus on economic growth besides
encouraging the pro-social attitudes and behaviours of people, considered vital for living in
balance with the nature. The research methodology which is used in the current article is
qualitative analysis by conducting extensive literature review of the various facets of
globalization, sustainability and well-being such as happiness, wealth and relative income,
inequality and well-being, happiness and sustainability and future economics and culture
transformation. The author believes that rapid advancement in technological innovation
providing knowledge and capacity for improving productivity largely, promoting activities of
creativity and collaboration available at minimal cost can significantly contribute in facilitating
transition across the globe further accompanied by reduced environmental stress and improved
human well-being. This article has been selected as it provides knowledge regarding the
interaction of sustainability and well-being which provides vital inputs regarding sustainability,
well-being in the context of globalization.

business organizations to endeavour various challenges in businesses that are sustainable in
nature resulting in sustainable consumption, is presented in the current paper in a manner is
sequential in nature. This article has been selected as it highlights the importance of sustainable
