 Do a take-off of the concrete footings and foundation wall of the Garage Area of the building.
(Area encompassing Rooms 100).
 Concrete is 25mpa strength and is purchased in cubic meters.
 For the purposes of this assignment, assume there are 2 rows of 15M reinforcing bars in the
footing and there are 2 rows of 15M reinforcing bars at the bottom and the top of the
foundation wall.
 Start your take-off by making a list of all the items that need to be identified.
 Below you will find a sheet to be used to make your list and a Quantity Sheet to be used to do
your take-off.
 Be sure you have the conversion sheet handy for doing this activity and all other activities
and assignments in the course.
The 4 basic take-off categories for each element (Footings, Foundations, Slab-on-Grade, etc) of
concrete work are;
