REPORT-3D Printingtechnology
3D Printing Applications and Impacts_1

Executive Summary3D printing technology can be considered as a process in which an extra layer is added upon the material to create the three dimensional effect. CSL limited wants to expand its processingonline and in various ways so that they can gain a huge rate of popularity as well as productivity. So, the purpose of the report is to analyse different types of technologies that can provide help increating the three dimensional objects and then, finding the suitable and relevant one for thecompany so that they can gain much number of satisfied and impressed customers. On the basisof ethical, social and legal perspectives, all the potential advantages and disadvantages of thesetechnologies can be considered so that the suitable one can be chosen for CSL limited.

3D Printing Applications and Impacts_3

INTRODUCTION3D printing is considered as a process which involves the solidification of the specificmatter in order to produce a three dimensional object. There are various technologies that help increating the 3D objects and usually, it is being done by adding an extra sort of layer on thespecific material. The whole joining and solidification of the material is being processed underproper system controlling (Choonara, du Toit and Pillay, 2016). Ultimately, the output of theprocess is to create a three dimensional object. There are various types of applications that can beinvolved in order to use the 3D printing technology. Also, along with the generic use, it isimportant that it can satisfy the requirements of the CSL limited by implementing all the realapplication factors that can be used by the firm. Every single technology has enormous numberof advantages but the fact which is to be considered here is that there are some drawbacks as wellof some of these technologies, so it needs to be analysed considering the social, ethical and legalperspective of the same (Hunt, Zhang and Pearce, 2015). There are some factors that can berecommended or being used in order to make the whole processing effective and appropriate.CSL limited is a biotechnology firm that deals with a variety of factors such as manufacturing, dealing etc. The report is about analysing different types of technologies involved and the onesuitable for CSL limited Concept of 3D printing technology3D printing technology is considered as a way of creating a 3D object and it is beingdone by adding an extra layer on the surface of the material. There are various technologies thatcan be used in order to achieve a three dimensional object. There have been observed variousinnovations and developments in the field that can help CSL limited to achieve all their targetsand objectives at a faster rate (Birtchnell, Böhme and Gorkin, 2017). Some very common andwell known examples of innovations include printing welder, personalised applications, speedprinting, phone printer etc. In speed printing, it makes use of a strategy in which the processing isdone layer by layer. But as it is obvious that if there are some advantages, there must be somedisadvantages as well affecting the process (Chen and Do, 2017). So, its drawback is thatalthough it makes use of the layer by layer strategy, it consumes much amount of time that canaffect the speed and rate of the processing to a huge extent. Another very common example of itsinnovation can be considered as the whole process of 3D printing technology is cheap enoughand can make changes to any stuff. It is possible to create a 3D object of any material by1
