But, the leadership skills which is most desired from a leader is the ability to understand from the emotional intelligence perspective [ CITATION Nic98 \l 1033 ]. Self- awareness being the element of emotional intelligence creates the ability within the individual concerned for understanding the feelings along with the emotions and also as to how the emotions might be influencing and affecting other who are around that particular individual. Being a leader in nursing, requires self- awareness since, it helps to make the individual aware and also understand the self- attitude which will cause to influence the team whom the nurse leader is leading[ CITATION Ker18 \l 1033 ]. Thus, it can be understood that, self- awareness creates the effectiveness in leadership and is only focussed on the proper exercise of leadership and thus becomes a way for exploring the individual personalities, with the value systems, along with the beliefs, and the natural inclinations or the tendencies towards any particular things or happening. Every human being is original and have various way to react to things or learn or accumulate information in a certain way [ CITATION Jor06 \l 1033 ]. So, the time if spent on self- reflection then it will only help in gaining a better insight and will also help the individual to identify the persistent gaps if any within the management skills so that the skills can be promoted towards the achieving development of skills. Self- awareness is that skill which helps in identifying the situations to make it most effective by assisting the decision- making through intuition and thereby the stress gets managed and furthermore causes motivation not only to the individual self but also for other[ CITATION Joh99 \l 1033 ].
