Recommendation
Team work is an important concept in business and even in personal life. Team work is not
limited to a group of people coming together and performing a task. Quite often team is regarded
as living organism has its own characteristics which make it evolve over a period of time. A team
is effective and able to coordinate well. The area of expertise of each member of the team is to be
recognized and brought to optimum utilization (Mao and Woolley, 2016).
Theory of Mind and Reading the Mind in the Eyes test are some of the test and theories that can
be brought to use in order to make the team efficient. Here, one has to recognize the important of
a team leader. The team leader has to be a dynamic personality and not a dominating member. It
is mentioned in the attached case study that dumb teams have unequal distribution of power.
The team leader of a smart team has no power position. It is empathy and inspiration that a team
leader must radiate.
Conclusion
Team need to be constant evolving and more research in this direction is going to help the team
to grow and take more challenging tasks. Coordination is important for a smart team. One very
important part of smart team is that they are in the position of bringing ideas to life and are
innovative which is quite important for organizations that have the pressure to be innovative in
the market with product engineering and product development.
