INTRODUCTION
There are so many factors that impact on overall working of business to great extent.
Present study is based on The Five Fields that has many restaurants in UK and offers luxurious
services to its guests. Current assignment will explain different type of organisation and the
growth of the international business environment. Furthermore, it will explain interrelation
between various departments with advantage and disadvantage of this interrelationship. Report
will conduct SWOT analyses of business and its competitor KFC. In addition, study will explain
interrelationship between strength and weakness of business with macro elements.
TASK 1
Different type of organisation and the growth of the international business environment
Public company
Public company is the company whose share can be freely traded on the stock exchange.
The public company is control and operated by the government personnel. Public company has
to publish annual report and make public details about their finance and business activities. NHS
(National health services) is a publicly funded national healthcare system(Sanchez and Hla,
2004)
Purpose- The main purpose is to serve the nation and offer high quality and satisfactory services
to consumers.
Growth -The growth of public enterprise is rising day by day. As NHS is expanding its company
across 63 countries and also profit is increasing and the efficiency in terms of technical,
allocation and dynamic is improving and also NHS is rated as most impressive in terms of
efficiency (Bull and.et.al., 2016).
Legal structure: These firms can sell their shares in stock exchange. In these companies board
of members are the decision makers. Ownership and control are in the hand of higher authorities.
Private company
Private company is the company who issue shares and have shareholders but their shares
are not traded on the public exchange and not issue through initial public offer. The investor of
private company are those who are closest to the founders such as family, friends and employees.
For example: The Five Field’s is restaurants that work as private company (Dcosta and
McDonough, 2017)

Purpose – The first and foremost purpose of private company is to maximize the profit in any
possible ways and so as the purpose of The Five Fields to maximize the profit and the another
purpose is to achieve a good position in the market and be a global leader in the market.
Growth – The private companies are also growing rapidly and also it maximizing its profit.
Legal structure: These have separate legal identify, board of director are chosen by
shareholders. Share capital needs to have less than £50,000.
Voluntary organisation
Voluntary organisation or union is an association of member who enters into the
agreement and who work for the common objective or interest and usually from a body and work
for the purpose to achieve the objective of the organisation.(Hillier and.et.al., 2013)
The largest voluntary organisation is Well come trust in UK.
Purpose – The most common objective is to create social impact rather than creating profit.
These firms mainly focus on improving people wellbeing and improving health of population .
(Hillier and et.al., 2013.)
Growth – Well-come trust in the independent global charity organisation. In august 2014, the
well come trust bought the cooperative group farm business.
Legal structure: members of the voluntary firms are guaranteed by £1. These have separate legal
identity.

Interrelation between department
Marketing and HRM
Marketing means promoting the business and selling goods and services to the customers
it includes aggressive advertisement, promotion etc (Kesseli, 2017). On the other hand, HRM is a
wide concept. It includes recruitment, selection, training and development, controlling and
directing and manage the organisation employees. Marketing and HRM go hand in hand and also
it is beneficial to the The Five Fields 's. Marketing is to attract large audience while HRM is
handling with the current employees and adding brand value . HRM Hires people those who can
work better in the firm and marketing team helps to analyses future requirements of candidates in
order to meet demand. In the absence of this relationship Hr would not be able to find out actual
requirement of department and will not be able to select right candidates ( Phadermrod, Crowder
and Wills, 2019)
Marketing and Production
Marketing and production department work together and this interrelationship helps to
enhance profit of The Five Fields 's and helps in growing in effective manner. The production
focuses on new products and services and marketing helps to know the demand of the product
and services Marketing tells the production department that how much quantity to produce and
what feature are to be added on it (Sanchez and Hla, T.2004.)
Finance and production
These two department are the most important one as finance department provides money
to the production department so that quality products can be made, also production department

will produce good quality product so that it help finance department to make huge amount of
money to the organisation (Kotler and et. al., 2015).
Advantages and disadvantages of interrelation of department
Interrelation of department help the Five Fields 's in many ways. If departments are
interrelated with each other then organisation will work in better manner and also organisation
will generate maximum profit. It is essential for the business that to have good interrelationship
between various departments (Akkanen, 2017). This supports the firm in minimising errors and
conducting operations as per the need of market. In the absence of this interrelationship company
will not be able to meet needs of consumers and will not be able to retain its potential buyers in
the organisation for longer durations.
On other hand this interrelationship enhances completion time of particular activity. If
each functional unit coordinate with each other’s and it will take too much time and enterprise
will not be able to provide satisfactory services to consumers on time (Lee and France, 2018).

Impact of macro environment on business
Political factor
This aspect refers to the effect of government on the working of the business. If political
stability is here then it will impact positive on the Five Fields because by this way enterprise will
be able to conduct operations in smooth manner without any frequent changes in laws and trade
regulations. Also, there are many government guidelines on dirt and health which help The Five
Fields 's to improve its product and work accordingly. This will impact positively and will help
business in conducting operations in smooth manner. But if there is in-stable government and
terrorism may increase which will affect visitor attraction in country. In such condition overall
demand of products may get negatively affected (Basil and Hopper, 2018).
Environmental factor
There are so many factors such as pollution, corporate social responsibilities that impact
on business unit and companies have to consider these factors while performing activities. If firm
fulfils its CSR responsibility then people will be positive and it will improve brand image of
company in the mind of buyers. Thus, this will impact positively on the Five Fields.
The negative factor is that climatic condition may affect the business in availability of the
product and food supply (Cierkosz, 2018).

Social factor
Social factor are the factor which are affected by the social value, customer taste, belief,
taste and preferences of the people(Scanning the Environment: PESTEL Analysis , 2019) the
Five Fields considers social values, culture and provide services and products to buyers on the
bases of their preferences. That is why entity has become able to generate more sales as compare
to past few years. This impacts positive on the firm. On other hand if the Five Fields ignores
social values, lifestyle then people will not prefer to buy products of organisation this will impact
negatively on the firm.
Technological factor -
Over a period of time new technologies have taken place in industry. Now online
booking, pre- reservation, payment systems are available to restaurant business. Five Fields is
required to adopt these technologies in order to offer quick services to consumers and develop
strong relationship with guests. This will impact positively on the firm. On other hand if
enterprise implements new techniques every time then it would enhance cost of the entity thus, it
will negatively impact on new profit of organisation.
Legal factor
The most important factor that business should have eyed on it is legal factor. In which
there is complete impact of laws and regulation on business. Changes in laws and legal
guidelines impact on firm to great extent. For instance if government made changes in its trade
policies and fiscal laws then it will create burden on Five Fields and it might affect its
sustainability in negative manner but positive laws such as reduce working hours, increase wages
rate etc. It will motivate staff and they will feel happy. In such condition Five Fields will be able
to retain its staff in business for longer duration.
Economical factor
GDP, inflation, deflation etc. Are part of economic condition. If there is high
employment rate then it will positively affect purchasing power of buyers. In such condition
overall sales of Five Fields will get increased. But if there is high inflation then value of currency
will get down which will impact on operational cost of the firm and profit will get reduced.

conducting operation in smooth manner. It is highly related with political factor as well, stale
political condition of UK aids the business in running operation in smooth manner and gaining
competitive advantage in the firm.
Company’s operations are very speedy. This aids the business in attracting mass audience
towards the brand. Enterprise concentrates on needs of the buyers. Thus, this strength is related
with social factor. This supports business in making people loyal towards the brand. In addition,
The Five Fields ’s major weakness is that company is facing cultural issues. This is related with
social factor. Firm has to look upon the social values and believes of buyers and employees
otherwise it might face difficulty in sustaining in market for longer duration (Ho, 2014).

As stated above in pestle analyses, there are external factors which affect the business. As
first is political factor in that there is international agreement and it effects the decision making
of business. Companies have to conduct internal and external analyses in order to identify its

operation sin smooth manner. In SWOT analyses there much strength of the business such as big
brand image and speedy operation which help the business to perform better and effective way .
And the opportunity is to expand the business so that sales increase (Kotler and et. al.2015).

In the above study it can be concluded that each firm has different purpose. Public sector
company’s main objective is to provide quality and satisfactory goods and services to the
customers whereas private sector aims for maximising the profit in the organisation . Voluntary
organisation focuses on maximising social values and developing the society in any which way.
It can be summarised as there is strong relationship between strength and weakness of firm with
several macro factors. Strong relationship between various functional units aids the firm in
gaining attention of buyers and conducting operations in smooth manner.
