2BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONIntroductionThe assignment focuses on the alignment of the Aristotelian elements ofcommunication. The Aristotelian communication elements can be divided into –ethos, pathosand logos. In this assignment the implications of Aristotelian elements of communicationwithin the present day business scenario has been explained.Relation of ethos, logos, pathos to modern business communicationThe Aristotelian elements of communication have been dominating the businessworld since a very long time.Ethosrefers to thecredibilityof an individual by virtue oftheir position, tenure or expertise within an organization to convince others with their speech. As commented byZhuet al.(2016), by displaying technical expertise in a certain area andstrong levels of integrity one may convince others to follow their lead in the organizationalcontexts.Thepathosaspect of the Aristotelian elements of communicationfocuses uponmaking a strong emotional connection with employees and colleagues within a businessorganization. As commented byTran(2016), taking an active interest in the careerdevelopment of others within the team are some of the ways the pathos perspective can beestablished within a business organization.Logoson the other hand refers to understanding the problem from a widerperspective. These are mostly based on strategic thinking, problem solving and theapplication of analytical skills. The assembling and analysing of data to addressorganizational problems are the key aspects of the application of logos in the modern daybusiness scenario (Danielewicz-Betz 2016). Logos are a way of focusing on the rationale forthe emergence of a problem and finding out ways of tackling it.
