Literature review
The wireless network is a kind of computing network which is mainly used
for performing data transmission between the devices without using
connecting cables. It is identified that wireless networks are able to transfer
data over long distance and consumers can exchange data from any
location. The power-aware router is a network that has the ability to
improve the effectiveness of mobile networks and reduce the cost of the
communication systems. The major purpose of this literature review is to
examine the importance of power-aware routing in the area of mobile
networks and evaluate the outcomes of recent studies.
Abdulla, et al., (2013) argued that wireless networks are effective and
appropriate networks that can be used in mobile communication in order to
perform data communication appropriately [1]. It is identified that wireless
networks do not need any connecting cable due to which the consumers can
transfer data over a long distance. Ad hoc wireless networks are able to
handle the issues occurred in the communication systems and provide a
platform to exchange data effectively [8]. It is true that using wireless
networks companies can enhance the performance of the communication
systems and power-aware routers are able to provide effective services to
the consumers along with the cost-effective. According to Amgoth, and Jana,
(2015) the term power-aware is defined as a computing router that is used
for routing the communication channels and performing data
communication effectively [2].
It is a way that is able to reduce the rate of energy consumption while
routing the traffic signals and companies can develop cost-effective mobile
networks in the systems and perform data communication. It is true that the
usage of power-aware routing can reduce the cost and power from the
wireless networks and help the consumers for exchanging data or signals in
less time. In the context of the local routing algorithm, every

communication node holds a message based on the position of the routers
and it is not much effective for long-distance communication [9]. Therefore,
using power and cost-aware algorithms the consumers can reduce such
problems and handle the issues that occurred in the communication related
to the cost and power consumption.
Anisi, et al., (2017) provided their views on wireless networks and identified
power consumption is the biggest problem linked with the communication
networks and mobile systems that can be managed using power-aware
routing process [3]. As compared with the recent studies the adopted article
provides effective and reliable points about wireless networks and also
recommended power-aware routing for enhancing the performance of
wireless networks. It is observed that in the power-aware algorithm nodes
hold data packets that forwards to the nearest routers in order to perform
data communication between the source and destination [10].
From recent literature, it is examined that in the context of localized
networks each node produces routing decisions based on the location of the
receiver in the form of linked unit graphs. Hinds, et al., (2013) suggested
that companies should use power and cost-aware algorithms in order to
solve energy consumption related issues linked with the mobile networks
and improve the effectiveness of the communication channels [4]. Such
kinds of algorithms are a combination of known greedy energy and cost-
aware algorithms. It is identified that using advanced power-aware
algorithms the consumers can reduce the risks or issues linked with the
mobile networks and manage communication systems effectively. The
effectiveness of these algorithms can be verified by comparing power
saving, numbers of routing tasks and losses occurred in the systems.
Therefore, using a power-aware algorithm and ad hoc networks the
companies can manage the energy-related issues that occurred in the
systems and improves the effectiveness of the communication networks
