Conclusions
Mobile web based health intervention applications are important and highly promising tools that
will greatly enhance post natal and antenatal knowledge among mothers, nurses, health care givers,
midwives, and nursing students. The research found out that existing web based mobile applications
used as health interventions greatly enhance the knowledge of healthcare professionals (nurses,
midwives) as well as mothers and nursing students on breastfeeding. Further, when designed as
interactive games, they are highly engaging and lead to increased knowledge that is statistically
significant on breastfeeding. The web based health interventions for breastfeeding were shown to
lead to improved outcomes through longer duration of breastfeeding, as well as the intensity and
exclusivity of breastfeeding to positively impact infant health.
