The mainframe of values and belief at the workplace alliance with maintaining a
positive work environment and framing a trustworthy relationship with client (Takase et al.
2015). In particular, this is important because it helps in collecting appropriate health history,
provide opportunity to give information and education about health issues, and offer
satisfaction to the client. The self-evaluation with supervisor helps in maintaining
competency with reference to proper documentation while collecting health history, using
evidences to find out the possible assessment criteria, and learning appropriate style of
communication while dealing with patients. While evaluation the feedback from co-worker,
the same thing was highlighted regarding proper documentation, as it helps in avoiding
misconception.
In conjunction to the current and emerging industrial trend, nowadays patients are
coming to appointment with learned information about symptoms, conditions, and treatment
options available. Hence, it is important for nurses to clear the misconceptions as well as
render appropriate information that are valuable to their specific cases. Another important
trend is the continued growth of technological utilisation into routine practices, which
demands the nurses to gain competencies regarding IT and computer software usage (GĂźrdaĹ
and Kaya 2015).
To confirm own practices with respect to ethical and legal requirement, in my opinion
it is utmost important to collect the information regarding health history properly and shared
them accordingly to achieve appropriate clinical outcomes. Additionally, maintaining privacy
for patient information is also another practice that I followed regularly. With reference to the
industrial trend, I always focus on upgrading skills related to computer literacy and
communication practices that in turn helps in maintaining accurate care practice standards.

Project 3
The effort for maintaining the competency level especially for evidence based
practices and communication skills improve the nursing practices to a significant level. This
is reflective with, positive feedback from supervisors as well as patient. Recognition for
these additional supports came from routine experiences, for example patient often comes
with knowledge gained from internet; which is risky if they are misleading. Thus, it is first
important to establish trustworthy relationship with them, followed by using evidences to
collect appropriate information and later giving them requisite medical education (Grove and
Gray 2018). Certainly, I believe that the critics and negative feedback given by co-workers or
client are useful in improving the loopholes present in routine care practice.
The effectiveness of self-evaluation and personal development plan is reflective with
the fact that maintaining empathy and appropriate tone while communicating, using evidence
to discuss the requisite intervention and assessment plans with other professionals, enabling
patient for self-management, prove to give proper clinical outcomes.
I use the learned nursing theories and collected evidence during the decision making
process. In contrary, I always seek advice from other professionals in the cases where my
expertise or knowledge seems to be insufficient. As for example, my routine responsibility is
to collect health history, involve in the decision-making for assessment criteria, and recording
the information during patient care programs. According to these responsibilities, there
should be involvement of evidence-based practices for making decision as well as using
proper communication tool to collect and record the information (MacLean et al. 2017).
Certainly in the same area, I use to take advice from other professionals, if there exists any
difficulty or risk in the care delivery scenario. In addition to this, to maintain collaborative
environment at workplace, I use to delegate co-workers according to the situation, however,
always according to the situational context (Curtis et al. 2016). The illustrated example can
