EXECUTIVE SUMMARYThis report has intended to resolve an identified business issue faced by the employeesdue to the changed design of their work structure. This is mainly in context to the open planstructure where the workers from all departments are required to work together in an open spacesetting. This is however leading to create a lot of distraction for others where many employeesare turning disappointed from such changed practice of work and willing to get their previoussystem back. In which, they used to have their own space and communicate with otherdepartments, through mails. Unlike, the present situation, where people are openly shouting oneach other and creating lot of disturbances at work. This has been projected to resolve using atheoretical framework namely Self-determination theory focused on providing intrinsicmotivation to the employees. Prior hand, 5 employed individuals of Gallifrey Inc. has beeninterviewed to obtain a relevant set of data from them. Other than that, the CEO is togetherrecommended to respect others views and involve them in the decision making process toimplement some improved change in the presently undertaken work practice of an open officeplan. 2
